Like someone have already mentioned here, they will only do something if it starts threatening the future of their positions in the government, or actually losing their seats to democrats. Then the democrats will start the impeachment process. The sad thing that both of these things are not likely to happen. The GOP have already created a plan to introduce voter suppression bills in a lot of states they currently govern. Gerrymandering has been taken into the next level in some counties to the point they don't even bother hiding it. The GOP knows that their base is shrinking by each passing decade, so they start resorting to cheating and illegal tactics to keep winning elections. It's absolutely disgusting, but it's something that Republicans have been known for the past few decades. The only way we can stop this nightmare is by pushing people to vote. People who are younger, or help people who are prevented from voting due to state voter anti fraud laws. We need a movement as big if not bigger than the civil right movement or else it will fall apart very quickly.
