How does the reconciliation window fit into all this? That deadline seems a lot more flexible than I thought it was back in March. How much time does the Senate have to work on this? Can they extend it at will?
I don't think that matters at all. I'm pretty sure they can just keep postponing it as long as they want as long as it doesn't go into next year.
The biggest issue with reconciliation won't be the time limit, but that the things that got the freedom caucus to vote for the bill very likely are not able to be included in a reconciliation bill, so even if it gets out of the senate, it could just die again in the house.
