My 88:88 showed up today. Shipping packaging was terrible (flimsy cardboard, no reinforcement) so the sleeve is creased in two big spots... but the record itself seems okay. It could have been worse.

I saw Brut last night and I was very impressed. There were new songs in between known songs and the known songs had many differences from the album version. The band had a great presence and looked like they were having a blast. Most importantly, it sounded great. I can't wait for the live album!

I hope you did since they sold out of shirts when i saw them!, which is why i went there hours before the show.
You were there at 5PM? I was second in line to get in at 7:30, the merch table only had shame tarps (heh). I only got one shirt because it was all they had in my size, and it wasn't even a tour shirt. No vinyl either. Oh well.

I was front-row-center, GAF, but it was a challenging filming environment. Regardless, I took some video. Enjoy TURBO KILLER live from NYC: https://youtu.be/RhWJBhUzXj8

Yup. Posted about it in this or the last page. No one seemed to notice.

It was great! Very different vibe and sound with live instruments. Would be interested in a re-record of TRILOGY like that!

Absolutely. One that comes to mind is Disco Zombi Italia. It had such a different sound and came off so much better live. They all did really, but that's the one that stuck out the most, for me.

Saw Brut last night too, they fucking killed it. I loved a lot of the variations and differences between their live versions and album versions. Great to hear that they're gonna put out a live album too. Le Matos also killed it in their set.

I got my first Qrates record this weekend, VHA Dreams - Trans Am.

I think The Midnight is well on its way too, NightStop juuust finished, so it's probably a bit away sadly.

For timing's sake, VHS Dreams campaign ended on 11/10; pressing started on 02/08; delivery on 03/11.

Not for the one you went to, but the one for SF back in Sept, and yea 5pm sound around the time I was at the venue for a 8pm show.

For those going to the Chicago Brut Show tonight.

On behalf of Thalia Hall we wanted to let you know some helpful information to make your show-going experience a smooth one.

get on it

I just heard that Le Matos cancelled all shows; I was already driving to Austin for that show.. and it's still a crazy lineup, but I gotta be honest, it was all for Le Matos.

I am very, very, very sad right now.

So Computer Magic cancelled this as well and the the other two bands are psych-rock; I'm kind of considering skipping now. It's potentially seven hours long and I've seen Brut already, so this would mostly be for Gost. I'm still going to Austin since my wife has tickets for a wrestling show down the street, so I guess I'll just wait it out and see if they announce any replacement acts.

Second time I've missed Le Matos in Austin. I'm gonna stew in this one for a while.
