That's over 12 hours from now by my count.
Pretty much, yes.

This game makes me miss sprites even more. I know it will never happen again but boy what I wouldn't give.
I'm not a fan of the realistic visual style. I liked the style of the Original MvC1 games. But, we're never going to see that again, are we?
The visual style here looks a bit too busy and hard to make out.
Also, I'm willing to bet that Capcom doesn't have the resources to make a good sprite-based 2D fighter anymore.
Good sprite based 2D fighters are financial suicide. No one should want that unless they want games that take 4 years to release and have barely 10 characters in their rosters.I'm not a fan of the realistic visual style. Wat.fucking unreal engine. same problem as with sf5: shitty, lifeless backgrounds with less details, because the engine cant handle detailed characters + 60 fps + all those effects (on current consoles).

GG is UE3 but modified to do a lot of stuff that comes with UE4. This proves your point more though, UE3 is shit compared to UE4Sure.
Disregarding the fact that a lot of the SF5 backgrounds are 60 fps and look fine and that both Guilty Gear Xrd and Tekken 7 are also made on UE4.
Have they given any reason why they changed it up from 3V3 to 2V2? Seems a strange design choice, outside of streamlining the gameplay.

The amount of people declaring that the game shit based on a just under a minute of gameplay is baffling.

MvC:I, not MvC4. HUGE difference.This is awesome, we're getting MvC 4 and Injustice 2 in 2017.
Mike Evans wants more casual fans to be able to jump in without being overwhelmed; in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, each player had to choose three characters from an enormous roster, then choose one of three assists for those characters.
Looks like Street Fighter X Tekken 2.
More like Tatsunoko vs Capcom HD to me. And this is great.
Honestly, I don't like to be a downer, but the positive reactions, especially from seasoned Marvel players, is what's most baffling to me.
This just does not look like a MvC game, and I feel like they should have at least called it something else. Which admittedly, would be hard, because the title is pretty accurate. But this isn't MAHVEL. I understand why they went to the casual side, but I think they might have gone too far on dumbing it down.
If you remove assists, high-level characters (which can't function in a balanced game without assists), extreme mobility (see previous), and deep team interactions from MvC3, you have SFxT. Plus gems. Yay.
It looks like they have refurbished Ryu's model, moves and animations. That means that they are cutting a lot of develpment time if they are not re-doing the characters from the ground up, which could mean we could see most of MvC3 cast again (minus Fox) and some added characters for a full roaster of 40-50+. That wouldnt feel like MCU pandering since we would have a lot of Marvel character variety.
I have to admit, from what we've seen so far, it sort of just feels like a dumbed down spin-off with a goofy title designed solely to further brand awareness for the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE (TM) as well as a means to advertise upcoming MARVEL STUDIOS (TM) FEATURES .
Of course, it can still be fun, and the gameplay looks largely the same, but I think there's a very particular degree of corporate cynicism going on in regards to the alterations they've made to the MVC formula that's leaving me feeling pretty cold.

Looks much better than the last 3 Marvel games, which I didn't care for at all.
Games got too crazy with 3v3 and assists.
Thanks for helping us casuals, Capcom. UMvC3 was way too nuts.
tank god they got rid of the shitty mvc3 graphics..man they were ugly.
I'll take recycled animations if it means a huge roster. It's Ryu, who gives a fuck.
