animal farm is a book thats a metaphor for the soviet revolution. Takes place in a farm instead of russia with the animals kicking out the humans. Just like the soviet revolution it gets dark. Known for quotes such as "all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."

Dunno how its supposed to teach kids how to take care of animals.

And the way it's written is in fact very approachable for young readers.
