I'll probably wait until the December Pro patch is out before grabbing this. The Pro will be a TLG machine until then.

Me too, at least wait until there is no frame pacing as a minimum

When I see this ingame I will laugh a lot :(.

Yes.

Also I don't know what's immature about mocking him if he's been stringing GAF (as well as the greater gaming community) not only in this thread, but in many threads for years.

Did not know that. Thanks for filling me in.

Huh? Probably about someone else but I never said anything about mocking him. I just found Sunhis gif game to be on top.

Oh God, that Falk cameo. I'm laughing so much right now.

That's neat. He just did a side quest for Takka that unlocked a new menu item and Ignis jotted the recipe down too. Lol

Well he's dealt with now, and we can move on from it. It's kinda immature imo because he's not even here and he won't respond.

If From Software can't patch it in BB and then release DS3 with the same issue, albeit it the same engine, who knows how tricky it is to fix. If it's a major engine flaw maybe it requires more effort than devs will put in?

I don't know though, just guessing, as I don't even know what causes it. Has any other game ever suffered from it and been patched?

Plus its Square, they've broke World of Final Fantasy on the Pro... http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1312485 and like a true Japanese dev there is radio silence about a fix, let alone acknowledging issues.

Huh so even in the final game it looks like manual driving gets locked out for some reason. Choosing a destination also gives you the amount of real time it'd take to travel like 3 mins to 5 mins etc

Are you going off of the demo? I had the same thing happen, but one of the choices you have when talking to Ignis when you first get the Regalia is to make it to where only he drives, apparently. On one playthrough, I couldn't drive at all. On another, I could a number of times!

Yeah but it's the same in the final game. The player can't choose manual for some reason only auto and he's past the demo point.

Oh, some context was just given for the whole wedding dress thing from Conan. Lol

It's not a major engine flaw. None of the dark souls games on PC have this issue.

Does any PC game have it as a problem? I mean is it a console exclusive issue? If so maybe it's something to do with the shitty console CPUs?

I mean I understand From Software almost going out of their way just to make every game they touch a piece of shit technically. I'm just struggling to wonder how Square end up with this issue?

Surgeon general's warning that from this point on expect spoiler spammage in any stream's chat.

Differs from game to game but framepacing is in some ways even more of a thing on PC than it is on console with all the different possible hardware setups out there.

It's often a problem with vsync and framerate limits, and many PC titles exhibit the same problems if the right settings aren't used. That's why so many people recommend using Rivatuner, because it can evenly cap framerates without any pacing issues, while in game settings are often dodgy.

Uh wow.

Well, goodbye Verendus. Time to teach to angels how to balee dat, 'cause mods certainly didn't, this time.

Fair enough, cheers. As I said I'm a textbook noob when it comes to even knowing what it is. I understand what vsync is though so having that brought up gives me a better idea.

Loving the little world building through just the dialog when exploring. They just explained that area from the demo with ruins and statue.

For some reason Ardyn's hair is the most whack, most are fine now IMO at least on Pro.

I think it's because they used so many individual strands there while most characters have them in bundles.

I always love when trolls get caught in a lie. Even if he did know some stuff (which I still question), that still didn't excuse his numerous lies. What happened to Verendus should happen to every rumor monger who lies.

Ugh I'm extremely tempted to duck back into that spoiler thread. I got some truly massive reveals though... But I'd kill to know some nitty gritty combat details like summon utilization, ring magic and royal arms.

Framepacing is prevalent on PC. Like massive.
It's often what makes games stuttering in 30fps out of the box on PC.

But you have ways to fix it yourself.

The hair always looks bad when taken as a snapshot. It looks significantly better in game because all the constant, tiny movement masks the issue. I couldn't believe how much better the hair looks when the game is running over the stills I've gotten used to seeing.

Here is the map for the first region

NAYDVk4.png

Is the coloured area simply the area where the player has already been?

Very interested to see how completable the game is, in terms of showing you what quests are available at any time. Don't wanna miss quests by failing to go to a specific diner at a specific point in the story
