Got the demo downloaded, but I can't decide if I want to start it or just wait for the whole game.

Nope. It doesn't have everything that the same area will ahve in the full game.

The cave is close to some ruins with an old crashed airship, old tanks and etc. Behind a big wall.

The tougher the fights, the more enjoyable the combat was for me.

Looking forward to high level monster fights on a higher difficulty than easy on Nov 29.

That always seemed so arbitrary to me when XIII was coming out. People praising it just because it wasn't linear was so superficial.

Dunno if anyone noticed but you can actually sprint indefinitely. Just need to tap L3 just before the stamina bar runs out and Noctis will do some weird movement that fills it again. Timing is pretty lenient.

Obviously you need to put the stamina bar HUD on.

I keep sleeping at the nearby campsite but every time I go to that little grotto there's just a single one of those wolf creatures there.

Hmm, good point. I know the demo has some graphical options for PS4 Pro version, but I wonder if it will be exactly the same as in the full retail version or if it will be improved even more. I really had no intention of getting a PS4 Pro so soon (or possibly ever), but this game... I really want it to be the "best" it can be when I play it lol. Hate that I feel like that kinda...

Gladio has one link attack that takes forever and he often completely misses the enemy because of the massive wind-up and animation.
A couple times it's been triggered and the enemy is already dead by the time Gladio takes his giant over-dramatic swing.

Is he? Darn lol it looks cool tho. He swung noct up so he could come down with the spear, in another he spun noct around Nd sent him flying toward the enemy with the spear. The other one when he pulls back noct to do a heavy swing.

Luckily I didn't have any bug spawning that bandersomething, but fuck that was an intense fight, I depleted nearly all my healing items even though this demo is in easy mode, I guess he will be impossible to kill this early in normal/hard mode unless you cheat it shooting him with a gun.

I can do it without the stamina bar hud on. You need to observe Noctis sprint animation. When you see him move his back up you know he's about to stop, so you need to press L3 at that very moment and Noctis will regain all his stamina.

Unless you can pick up something in the demo to unlock it, there isn't anything in the menus for it that I could find.

I'd say play it if your still on the fence about the gameplay. The demo itself is all the stuff that has been show the last last few months, the open area around the opening, Hammer Head. It might be ok to wait if your on total blackout, but if you have been watching the videos the last two months or so and never got to play it at events and want to, now is your chance.

Maybe it's just because I happen to be playing Lightning Reutrns at the moment but I really feel the combat has ended up the same just with a different hud. Instead of garbs you change weapons but really it's all there. Hold a button to guard, press to perfect guard. Use the right weapon to stagger, use a heavy weapon to DPS. The additions are mostly hitting a button to activate a contextual attack, press square then circle to parry, press circle for team attack, etc. It's Lightning Returns without a transition to battles mostly. Of course there aren't really any abilities to unlock and it's stuck on easy. It wouldn't be the first game to play differently as you go along. It's not a good or bad thing really but it's interesting that after all that development it seems to have come back around to the last game anyway.

1080p user here and the Pro version is terrific especially when you switch on the "High Image" quality setting.

After 5 hours I kinda just wrapped up my time with the demo. I don't really want to keep playing it because I know come release I'll be combing the area all over again and then some. The demo was perfect though because I never played the Duscae one and being this was a nice slice from the near final game it gave a fantastic idea of what the finished product will be and offer.

Now...a few photos I'll upload later and then some, for now a trio I just uploaded directly to Twitter.

I don't want to play much of the demo since I want the game to be fresh in a couple weeks, but damn is the music godlike and the game so fun and fluid to play.
