World of Final Fantasy PS4/Vita comparison videos

Would love to get the Vita version but for whatever reason PS4 is the only version that has PSN preorder available (along with the bonuses).

Looks like there are frame rate hiccups on the Vita.

I'm still wondering if I should get the PS4 version and remote play it on my Vita.

Just shows again how few devs pushed the Vita to its limits in its lifetime. Looks really good.

That looks pretty damn good on Vita. It's just missing some of the nicer looking effects on PS4, like that DoF. Game looks great on both platforms. I honestly don't dig the big head chibi artystle much, but this game is still really holding my attention. It being a turn-based RPG is quite appealing.

The loading before combat is actually faster on the Vita. How did that happen? :P

They seem to get into the actual battle bit at roughly the same time, but the Vita version has an extra scenic shot that it gets in while the PS4 version is still loading. Wonder why :/

Can't tell if the Vita version is running at native res, but either way it looks good. Still getting it for PS4 though.

The Vita version looks stellar. I'm still getting the PS4 version because there's something appealing about playing a new turn based FF on my TV, but it's nice all the same to see how good it looks.

That's really impressive. I was getting worried after so little Vita footage was out there as we inch closer to release.

The removed effects become obvious in darker areas since the PS4 version has many concentrated lighting effects, but that's not a huge issue. The game still looks amazing for Vita.

Dang, looks great on Vita! Had it preordered for PS4, but I'm changing it to Vita. Might as well save $20 and be able to play it wherever I want. :)

Due to the "cutesy" nature of this game. I'd prefer to play it in the privacy of my Vita and headphones. I'm happy there aren't too many compromises.

PS4 has far better lighting for sure.. Video #2 1:36 mark, lighting is absent on Vita. No biggie.

At first I thought, wow, they did an amazing job to get the Vita graphics nearly on par with the PS4's...then I realized it is probably the other way around. It could have looked much more amazing on PS4 if the assets weren't actually the Vita's assets just in higher resolution and with tons of added post processing effects on PS4. ;)

I rather they go the route they did than focus on PS4 only and have to down-port to Vita. This happened twice with Tecmo-Koei titles (Nights of Azure & Toukiden 2) with both suffering as a result.

It makes sure the PS4 version looks solid and well done all the while making the Vita version visually impressive.

I think Vita is a great choice for this title, for those who are on the fence as to which version to get.

If you are getting Dragon Quest Builders and/or FFXV on PS4... this title gives you something new to play on your Vita for when you're away from your PS4. DQB is also on Vita though, of course... so there are lots of ways to switch things up.

Still wish cross buy were a thing... Just let me pay $10 more or something to have both versions. Why is that so hard?

What exactly is this game? Is it a JRPG? I've watched gameplay but still been left a little confused about what I'd be getting if I bought it.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out how the videos used in the comparison are both very tiny and low res which actually makes it hard to gauge what the full extent of the differences are, particularly when playing both in a real world situation.

It does look good on Vita, though the art direction certainly lends itself to the lighting in the PS4 version, especially in that cutscene with a Tonberry and a Cactuar. Geometry is also noticeably cut back on character models to the extent where you can notice it at on such a small and low res video cut-out -- the downgrade in texture quality is probably also going to be noticeable when you actually play it on a Vita.

Loading into a fight seems faster on vita and loading from battle to world map seems faster on ps4.
Looks solid on both. I'm impressed by no reduction in quality on the vita besides the obvious lighting. I only own a vita so I'm getting that version for sure!

I am pumped everybody! :)

Got the PS4 version pre-ordered at quite a discount in Canada, so sticking with that.
Really looking forward to the game!

Why your face so ugly male character?

I'm going to stick with the ps4 preorder for now but if the game is any good i'll probably pick it up for vita eventually
