Drive Girls details

It's really dumb but I'd play it. I have no standards

Gotta admit it doesn't seem very appealing. But is a very early look at the idea so is too soon too pass judgement.

Any news on who's the developer? I've seen people claiming is Tamsoft. Something that if true, makes me wonder if there's another team working in an hypothetical new SK game for the 5th anniversary.

Earlier today, I got an email from Play-Asia saying that the Lumo physical print has been delayed until the end of the month.

Vita had... quite a decent TGS actually.

I'm really interested in SaGa, but the trailer doesn't show much. Still, I suppose it's still 3 months from a JP release, plenty of time.

We don't have Nintendo to save us on Vita so Itadaki Street localization seems impossible for now. SaGa has higer chance but first we need to get that Romancing SaGa game on Vita.

Vita had nice TGS, 2 brand new games, 2 release dates, 1 debut trailer. To be honest, it's much better than PS4, which got only 2 exclusive game announcements: Gundam Versus and No Heroes Allowed VR. You'd expect they would go all in for PS4 but they didn't. Not even a single mention of PS4 Pro.

If IS was on a Nintendo platform they definitely wouldn't bother bringing the game over. Like this, at least there's a small chance.

They mentioned Pro at the beginning and EDF 5 and that Musou game were also announced.

In terms of new games the conference was a disappointment, just release dates for games that have already been announced.

Looks Toukiden and HaruToki are in too - the woman on the front-right is Ouka from Toukiden, and the guy at the back with the white jacket and blue hair is Arima from HaruToki6.

Nice. This is turning into quite the fanservice dream for me. Wonder what other Koei Tecmo IP's will get in.

Also reminds me how disappointed that the Compile Heart crossover game turned out to be a F2P card battler.

Digimon Next Order has been rated for ps4 in Brazil. Guess it's only a matter of time now for the announcement.

Well then.

Crossing my fingers that the Asian-English release of Cyber Sleuth did well enough that they'll do it again for this one! Then I can have a collection of two physical copies of Digimon games for Vita haha.

Bamco Asia seem stellar with physical releases though (dual-cart release of SD Gundam!) so I'm hopeful. Unlike if it were a Koei Tecmo game.

I find it concerning that it's only been rated for PS4. Cyber Sleuth, God Eater, etc. were rated for both from the start. They wouldn't start that up again, would they? CS seemed to do really well on Vita in the west ...

Then again, it looks like Brazil didn't rate Gundam Extreme Vs. Force or A.W., so who knows.

Yeah, Bamco makes some odd decisions (GE), but at least they're not KT.

It'd be weird for them to suddenly ditch the Vita. I assume we'll get both versions.

It'll probably be physical on PS4, digital-only on Vita in the west. They'd be crazy to skip the Vita version since it did pretty well on the top PSN downloads for a while.

I mean, we'll have to see what happens with this product, but Bamco seem to have got the formula down to an absolute t lately.

PS4 version in the west, physical & digital. Vita version digital only. Asian-English Vita version available for people who want to import.

The only thing that's really at a loss for buyers is physical Vita owners when there's DLC involved, but even then at least the option for physical is there.

I would genuinely be shocked if this skipped Vita in the west; and I'd be quite surprised if it didn't get a physical release for Asia.

I hope they will do a physical Vita release for Europe this time. At least we got GE2 and J-Stars Victory Versus + as a physical release and will get the new Sword Art Online unlike the US. But an Asian-English release would be fine aswell.

PS4 is the worst platform for a game like Digimon Next Order. It's grindy as fuck and full of tiny text. I don't know you people but my TV is too far away from where I usually sit, so texty games on PS4 are huge problem for me.

Plus Namco's games are the best selling ones right now on Vita (God Eater, SAO, Digimon), they should be the last to abandon the system.

A Vita game upscaled/rendered to TV size will actually have pretty big text, for what it's worth

And games like Destiny/FF XIV/Diablo are very popular on consoles, so "grind" doesn't seem to be an issue for most people there either

I know this is the Vita thread but still. Let's not be weird. Games like it have been on home consoles for decades

You know why PS4 is also a great platform for the game? Because that means we'll actually get a localization

Yeah, that's not true. I had to sell my Gundam Breaker 3 PS4 copy due to my inability to read tiny text 3 meters away and got the inferior Vita version. Well, it's not that inferior, but PS4 version is definitely superior. Next World is a texty game and font size is similar to Breaker. PS4 version is going to be a problem for me.

I wouldn't worry about the next Digimon game only releasing on PS4 in the west and not on Vita. Bamco has been doing a great job supporting the Vita with frequent releases and they saw the success games like God Eater, SAO & Digimon got on Vita.

They are NOT going to ignore easy money and I have a good feeling that we will be playing World Order next year in English on our Vita's :).

I look forward to the Asia Vita version of the new Digimon since Bamco is probably going to make it Digital Only for NA again.

Next order isn't like cyber sleuth is it? I loved cyber sleuth.

Not really. Cyber Sleuth was a "Story" game which is more linear and story-focused. Next Order is a "World" game which is more open and about raising digimon.

I much prefer World games, so I'm hyped about this.

I'm really curious as to what the thinking is behind not mentioning releases in the blog. You're talking, what, an extra minute of time to write a bit about that game?

As crazy as it sounds that small bit of effort on something as high profile as the PS Blog could sell copies of the game and make your company money (and the dev!)

The World series are dramatically different from Story series. The battles are automated, and you spend most of your time grinding your digimon with minigames in a gym. Newcomers tend to hate those aspects, it's kinda one of those "not for everyone" games. You have to be ok with the grindy nature of the game.

I remember reading a rumor that said God Eater 3 was in development for NX. I can see Namco making the jump to NX but I don't think they would abandon PS platforms. A new God Eater game for Vita could breathe a little life to system in Japan. Otherwise NX will totally murder it.

I just searched Google for any God Eater 3 NX rumors and nothing... Where was this rumor from? And what about it hinted at God Eater 3 being a NX game?

Considering PS3, PSV, 3DS, Wii U, PS4 launches in Japan I think that scenario of companies moving all their projects exclusively to NX is rather unlikely.

Especially when they have code and assets to reuse but maybe they will make PSV/NX/PS4 release (at least I'd do it to slowly start building userbase there).

Hmm plus no matter how much we like our Vitas we will sooner or later (2-3 years) have to make a decision too since Sony is not going to release Vita2.

Either we will migrate to NX or go ios/android

At least all rumors point into direction of solid 720p screen and above Wii U performance in portable form so in spirit it should be closer to PSP/PSV than to Nintendo gimmick instead of solid hardware philosophy.

Side question,

Can you still download and play PSP games from PSN with a PSP?
