This is really making me angry. I realize he just wants attention but...

And he's still going.

Apologies if this isn't thread-worthy, just needed to vent.

It feels like he was making fun of wrestling. With or without autism the joke is pretty much the same.

What a fucking shitlord. Kevin Owens (and lil Owen) shouldn't give this turd any attention. That moment Kev won will forever be something that puts a smile on his sons face.

Yeah, this is making fun of wrestling. Autism has nothing to do with it. And as someone who has been diagnosed on the autism spectrum (though granted I'm a very mild case), I honestly take offence to the idea that someone is automatically low functioning just because they're autistic

He's doing the shitty "wrestling is fake!" thing, but doesn't seem like he's making fun of the kid or his autism directly. I like Amin but he does sometimes tend to go overboard with his "hate hard" schtick.

It's the 'wrestler or the kid' tweet is complete garbage. The first one seemed like he was just making fun of wrestling.

He might not have been making a joke about autism in the first tweet but that third tweet is straight up an insult. And who cares if its scripted let the kid be happy for his dad damn

The follow up tweets are fucking terrible even if you want to let the original tweet slide.

It's fucking disgusting.

His dad is now one of the top man of the company and his son can't be happy for him? Even if he wasn't autistic that would be such an idiot thing to say.

Fucking idiot.

Yeah. The follow up tweets aren't good at all...

It's incredibly petty to put down a kid's enthusiasm, autistic or not.

Yeah, even ignoring the incredibly stale joke of "wrestling isn't real", that wrestler or the kid tweet just points to him as a shitty person.

Guess the millions of people tweeting about Santa being fake are also being incredibly petty. I was ready to come in here and condemn this person, but it's literally a jab at wrestling, not the kid. Yeah it's petty, but NO WHERE NEAR as bad as the title makes it out to be.

The last tweet is kinda fucked up though and a bit insensitive joking about autism when said person's kid is autistic

First one just reads like the usual "wrestling isn't real!!!!!" gag, and the son being autistic or otherwise didn't make much difference; should have just shrugged it off when people started making a fuss about nothing. But instead, he got riled and the third tweet is pretty insulting.

First tweet was just a lame joke. If he had just come back with "I had no idea, but I was just making a joke about wrestling being fake, my bad" it'd be hard to get upset about.

But then, like so many idiots on Twitter do, they double down. If I were a celebrity I would wish for a timer so I could only tweet every 120 seconds or something.

That's a pretty peace of shit thing to do on multiple levels
  1. The kid is 8, let him have his fucking moment
  2. The kid is autistic
  3. "It's fake" jokes in 2016 are really stupid because most people know its fake

Guy seems like a real dick and judging by his responses he loves the attention. Autistic or not, making a joke about a kid being happy for his dad seems like one of the lowest things you could make a joke about.

The last one is fairly offensive since it seems to be using autistic as an insult. The rest are harmless.

I don't think so, though. I think it's more feigned confusion because their outrage doesn't even make sense. A kind of "what are we talking about here?" "what does the kid being autistic have to do with realizing wrestling is scripted."

It's not OK to use autism as part of a joke. That 3rd tweet crossed the line period.

Any kind of hand waving by people makes you part of the problem regarding jokes and mental illness.
