It's not really a good representation though. There's no 3d depth to the video which is the biggest thing for VR. There's 0 ways to look at a youtube video and get how it looks.
What the 360 thing does on youtube is just give you an idea of the looking around effect, but on a 2d plane.
PSVR will be perfect for you.
House then mentioned that he has been very vocal about the fact that this generation of virtual reality lends itself more to short-form content than to very long experiences. He doesnt see that as a negative, and he tends to liken the VR experience to something more like a theme park ride, as it may be short, but its very intense and enjoyable.
If that's a good representation of PSVR I'm happy with it display-wise.
In reality it will be even better.
With PSVR you will also have z-axis movement. So you won't just look up/down and left/right, you can also lean in and out of the scene.
Also, PSVR will be in 3D, so there's true depth and a sense of scale to the image.
Does the IQ look exactly like that?

I'm being sincere. PSVR is a good choice for people who want the least change.Look guys, we all need PSVR to do well if we want to keep getting better headsets and better games, but don't buy it assuming the majority of games will be feature length with complex mechanics like a normal game.
If people go in with that kind of expectation, then hate what the reality is, the bad mouthing isn't going to help anyone.

Hey guys, just a heads up for people who are interested, I found I japanese youtube channel where they demo all PSVR launch games. It's all in Japanese but the gameplay is mostly new and fresh if you guys wanna check them out I got all the links and time stamps where cool stuff happens.
Hope you guys enjoy![]()
That's the first non-trailer direct feed Rez Infinite I've seen. Not very high quality recording and possibly the same shortened demo from December last year but still better than the off-screen recordings.
Tetsuya Mizuguchi takes over with some more skilful, rhythmic play later in the video:

Wow.. I didn't expect that to happen at the end of the summer lesson demo.. Looks like it would make you feel queasy intensively.

What did you watch the video on? On a 24" monitor, it looks like a 240p Youtube video. On a cellphone it looks pretty ok because it's so small.I was thinking more IQ than depth perception. From some comments you'd think it was a blurry mess, but that looked more than adequate for me.

VR is like viewing an 800x600 PC monitor, or maybe 1024x760.

I played Drive Club VR on Thursday for about 40 minutes and it was VERY impressive. It felt like a genuine jump in gaming evolution, the feeling of 'being there' was incredibly strong.
You know what came into my mind? One of my great gaming memories of playing Virtua Racing on an ENERMOUS arcade screen, being IN the game, totally immersed by the screen, by the 3D world. Playing DC VR gave me that feeling again, only stronger. It was wonderful. I was playing with a wheel and with headphones which definitely felt like the way to play. Not sure how it would feel with a controller, I guess you'd lose a bit of the immersion, but still, fucking rad.
Honestly, it was game changing for me. And, Drive Club at 60fps is fucking outstanding. Feels like a different game.
20" monitor.
I come from the dawn of gaming where expanded sprites and colour clash was the order of the day - shit, only one home computer could do full screen via some trickery - so PSVR simply being up on Driller running on the C64 is good with me.
What is expected to be THE launch game to buy? The killer app?
same thing happens in Playroom VR both with Monster Escape if you lose as the monster you are launched to outer space and cat and mouse where if the cat loses the mice saw a hole below the cat and the cat falls to the basement. I think it isn't as motion inducing as it looks.

For me it's either Rez Infinite, Battlezone or DC VR
Those look like the games that will sell most at launch.

Fantastic impressions. It really sounds awesome. Looks like I'm going to have to double dip on Drive Club.

In other words: help kickstart games of the distant future today!
So basically what early adopters have done for decades then.
VR experiences are the new crappy cross-gen ports.
Gran TurismoDepends on whether or not it's an entirely new tech or platform. Early adpoter can apply just as easily to people who day one new consoles (some of which have actually launched with a killer app, or had one available reasonably early).
If by cross-gen you mean two generations. PSVR isn't going to survive with just "early adpoters". There needs to be something that wows just about everyone at some point with its first generation.
bought a wheel based on how awesome I'm expecting this to be!

Speaking from a personal level, I jumped on PSVR early because I was fascinated by the technology and the potential. But the more I see of the games coming along the more excited I am about about the whole offering.
So, I came for the tech, stayed for the games I guess.
By "cross-gen games" I was referencing them as being low cost, established name titles that devs use to get a relatively risk-free entry onto a new platform during console generation transitions while gaining experience for future projects. I feel Tomb Raider, Battlefront, Final Fantasy etc are the VR equivalent to this. Hopefully gamers are impressed with these, inspiring publishers to go all in with dedicated VR titles in the future.
What I am worried is the gamers end up viewing VR as a tacked-on gimmick in this case.
I have the gold Sony wireless headset and I believe they have virtual surround sound. Is that the same as 3d audio?
So I just picked up a pair of move controllers and a charging station. All set for PSVR. Are there any PS4 games that use the move apart from Octodad and Sebastian Joust?
