I am sad that little things never get play of the game.
I was playing Tracer last night, and we are getting close to the end of escorting the objective and we have a good pile on the cart.
I am in a room a bit over, and I hear Junkrat letting loose his tire and I move toward the objective.
A soldier comes out behind the cart and starts firing into my team so I sticky bomb him and he steps back right into the course of the tire and blows himself and the tire before the Junkrat could pop it.
Looked fucking GREAT!!!
We won....
Soldier 76 got the Play of the Game....for a random kill spree

Blegh, terrible games tonight. I let my team down. Can't aim, can't think, can't react.

Going to bed crying.

(Think I caught the tail end of some gaffers in a game, sorry to disappoint you)

aw man cheer up lol

(I was just bout to logon now you get me scared I'll get rolled over too)

Thanks for this - I'll try all this next time I play as him. Using High Noon correctly has been a gamble for me, yeah. If I don't accidentally panic use it and waste it, I usually try and save it for when I sneak up on and take out a sniper, then use the sniper's position to get a bead on a few people before letting go. Of course I only manage to actually take out the sniper 50% of the time, so.
I've never seen High Noon as a reliable team killer just because I assume a decent team will just immediately run for cover and while I walking around slowly with a big glow around me someone could just snipe my face off.

It's really only useful when the team is distracted, too busy to run for cover or they're stuck. Or if the enemy is just running as fast as they can with their health already damaged and I can just pick them off with a quick High Noon.

Use High Noon from above and behind wherever possible, and only when a teamfight has broken out. If you're visible, or they can react, it won't work.

Deathmatch I don't think would work with this game. The skills aren't balanced in that way. Some heroes wouldn't be useful in that mode at all. I hope they never make a Deathmatch mode. People wanting that should go play CoD.
Right, I get that. But there are so many crappy players who treat objective games like deathmatch anyways, it would be great to get them out of these games. Basically appease the dumb dumbs and let those who actually want to give it a proper go the chance to do that.

I actually wouldn't mind a torn/bastion nerf. The game should be balanced at low skill and coordination levels as well as high ones. They're probably never going to be viable in high level play - if you pushed their power that high they'd really dominate newbie games - so nerfing them doesn't really affect that level, but will make newbie games more entertaining.

Mark Rosewater, the lead designer of Magic the gathering, talks a lot about I this sort of thing. Balance shouldn't just aim at making sure that all strategies are equally strong but also try to ensure that the good strategies aren't unfun to play as or against. In MTG that means that cards that stop your opponent from being able to do anything, like discard, land destruction, and counterspells are set at a lower power threshold so they're never the dominant strategy. I think video game designer can learn a lot from that approach (and in general from non-electronic game design, but that's a separate topic).

Just gotta figure out a way to do it without compromising Bastion's utility as a Winston counter pick in the competitive meta.

Winston needs an alt fire.

Also his shield needs to last longer.

I'd definitely like to see him get a push back ability similar to Lucio. He's a tank, but almost any of the offensive heroes melt him. Better hope you can jump away, because that's the only way you're not dying if you run into one most of the time.

Had great moment last night with Genji again. After getting a triple kill with his Ult on Hollywood, I dashed to a hiding McCree, deflected his stun grenade right back at him before also deflecting his Fan the Hammer. Those are the moments that just make you feel good about yourself.

Double Winston + Lucio means you just won that KOTH game. Really hard to beat that.

Double winston, double mccree, lucio + mercy (double lucio if you're good at communication)... tryhard meta. People get mad if you run this.

Also regarding winston, if you don't try to 1v1 people, you're adding a lot of consistent damage to a fight. You only really 1v1 in really favored cases like vs a widowmaker. His strength is his mobility, so join fights to swing the odds.

Faced a 5 Genji 1 Lucio meme team last night while we were defending on Hollywood. They actually got the first point but we just counter picked them with Mei Zarya Junkrat Winston (plus support )after that and they didn't make it inside the building.

It was scary when 2+ Genjis activated their ultimates at the same time though!

Played a final game that was at least decent, ext. crisis averted. Still, haven't played a proper session for a couple of days and this was a damn rough return. I expect ups and downs but I've never felt this severely outmatched multiple games in a row.

Not to put it all on the enemy teams being good, I played plain bad.

Small things.

On the Honamura map, at the broken gets leading to point A. There are two chains on the ground that were holding the gates closed. Those same chains are also on the gates that aren't broken open.

This new brawl has shown me the power of Torb. He does a surprising amount of damage with his gun and it seems that people that I was up against didn't know how to deal with him at close range. I really wish I had the pirate skin for that match, haha.

Matchmaking is really starting to irritate me.

My last match:

Enemy team

62, 78, 55, 39, 80, 75

My team

49 *me*, 7, 9, 5, 18, 29

Yeah right, if the game is trying to make me lose at least let it be fair.

tbh, the level doesn't really say much, sure 7, 9 and 5 is pretty low but yeah the matchmaking seems broken.

I am having some weird glitches with Soldier 76 only.
Sometimes i can't see his gunshots, i am shooting, but gunshots are not visible. There is also slight delay or game not registering my input when i'm shooting so i have to repeat it.

Anyone else with this issues?

It's not an indicator of skill but it should be an indicator of familiarity with heroes and maps all which can give you a huge advantage.

I'm 71 and I got put into a match with level 10s randomly, I picked tracers and I knew the layout to route 66's factory portion so well that the enemy team thought I was legitimately hacking since I just knew all the usual spots people think are good to hold and we crushed them at the last point with me going 32 and 3

Considering we couldn't capture the point it says quite a bit since no one tried to get to it and the one guy quit halfway through. They still learning and that's all good and why I still play the match but sometimes it just seems the game tries to force loses onto you which I feel is pretty scummy. At least let me lose to similar skilled players. I am far far better at the game at level 49 than I was at level 9.

Must have been Sombra, we're one step closer to cracking the case.

I've played with McCree a lot and I still don't understand what his ultimate does. It seems so useless. It's like a free shot that only deals half damage on one person...? I must be missing something.

His ult can target multiple people in his line of sight and if used right can deal major damage, which usually kills people, to a good number of enemies

Auto targets everyone, the longer they're in your sights the more damage it does. If the icons turn into a skull it's an insta-kill when you pull the trigger.

The longer people are in your sight, the more the circle around people closes. When it gets close and turns into a skull, the shot will kill.

The speed of it is based on the HP of the person targeted, so in the right scenario you can wipe a team or get some picks quickly.

As far as i heard the matchmaking is skill based, meaning the level doesn't matter, maybe he's as bad as a level 5? :p

or it's broken idk.

My first bad day of Overwatch, I don't mind losing provided my team actually tried to play objective but I'm calling shenanigans on the last game I played where we kept the enemy team at bay near their spawn point next to the payload until the last second where they then tear through us to reach the end.
Let WInston's melee do hella damage
That makes a lot of sense to me but I could easily see it being really overpowered.

What about Quintuple Winston + Lucio, which is a real thing that happened to me.

Played against a similar scenario like this last week. At first, they completely annihilated us because we weren't expecting it. Once we knew what was going on though, we switched to Bastion, Reaper, and McCree, and shut them down at their spawn point.
