Then you get zero votes because your team is salty. Roadhog is the master of Gold medals in pubs, I've had it happen a couple times with him.

Someone on my team actually said "this fucking team sucks" at the end, I nearly died on the spot. Like bitch you're Hanzo on attack getting 1 kill a minute.

Playing against parties when your solo really ruins it for me.
Yeah it's happening to me more and more, and I am talking about what is clearly a 5 person coordinated party that you can tell they are communicating with each others against 5 random pubers me included, not fun at all.

Is there any way to set your group as open so anyone can join you?

I don't think so, people can request an invite though. So if you have someone on your friends list they can request an invite and it goes to the leader.

Yeah. You can set it in the social menu.

Oops, looks like I'm wrong.

People are so awesome. A big reason I loved Splatoon so much (aside from it being so awesome) was that people had no avenue to play the blame game constantly. Just super chill splatting.

I wouldn't be surprised if the loot boxes worked in a similar way to hearthstone packs. With Hearthstone packs whenever u get to 40 opened packs of a specific type, you're 100% guaranteed a legendary. So 40 classic=1 legendary, 40 Gvg= 1 legendary, etc. It resets once you get 1 though. Curious to see if there's anyone unlucky enough to not have gotten a legendary by level 39, to see if they got 1 at 40.

once you figure out Zenyetta and how much of a killer he is, he becomes so much fun. really need a team that sticks together though. he's useless unless he's on the backlines

The fucking Dwarf and his stupid turret are so infuriating as a Tracer.

Like, I can't do anything to it BUT blink towards it, bomb it, rewind. Even that doesn't work sometimes because it's been leveled too high for it to die in one bomb.

I can't stutter-peek it, it reacts way to fast and the moment you push the corner to shoot a bit and fall back, it's hit you back as well.

The fucking Dwarf himself is obnoxious, oh you caught him off guard? Okay, better get close so my pistols actually do damage, Oh fuck the Dwarf can one shot you with his shotgun in the range you need to be to kill him with one full mag of your pistols.

:(

She can kill turrets ok. If it's a level 3 then you're definitely not taking it but she fares better than a lot.

If you keep running into it and no one is helping, swap to Pharah or Junkrat and blow it up.

Why do some of the things I have unlocked have red/green number on them? I assume it is the price they cost to unlock, but it's weird as they're unlocked already.

He's either my favorite or least favorite enemy hero when I play Roadhog. If he's good and his team protects him then I'm going to melt constantly. If his team can't defend him at all, he's the easiest hook target in the game.

Yeah, it drives me nuts too but if you've unlocked them it should show them with a red price even if you have the coins. This really only seems to happen with sprays.

the only thing i find hard about lucio is knowing when to use the speed

obviously right out of the gate but I'm always wondering when i should be healing instead

i guess i should stick to healing unless i need speed to save my own ass?

I stick to healing until I hear any Ultimate from the enemy. Switch to speed song. Will help people escape tires, fanned hammers, exploding mechs, soldier and reaper ults, side step dragons, etc. If my amp is up I'll hit that too. I've helped my group get out of harm's way.

Tracer does well vs most heroes and she can kill the turret with her ult... she has it much better than most.
I mean I can get around it, and I can definitely take the turrents out, it's just the salt of how much effort it takes.

Oh, found out where the turrent is, better save my Ult, get in position, blink towards it twice, bomb it, rewind to safety, if it's not destroyed by the bomb, blink again to finish it off.

Just super fucking annoying having to waste an alt and my whole specials for the time to do it lol. Even more salt if the turrent is upgraded to the point where the bomb isn't enough and I do have to go all-in to rid of it.

Use it when your ally is running near a cliff. Few times I have seen people run to their deaths this way and I'm sorry but it's just funny as hell.

As Junkrat I've lost count as to how many time's I've died because of a botched mine jump because of the speed boost.

How does it feel to get Play of the Game?

As Widowmaker: embarrassing because I am not good at sniping.

As Tracer/Hanzo killing dudes not on the objective: meh.

As Reaper/Hanzo killing dudes on the objective at the last minute: yisss.

As Mercy flying to the capture point as all your teammates were killed then mashing your ult to clench the capture point during as the Overtime timer ticks away to its final moments...well, that hasn't been topped yet.

EDIT: Also, another vote for Overwatch |OT|: Overtime

You aren't wasting your ult though. If you can take out a turret for your team that is awesome. Tracer doesn't really have many counters, she can either out play most heroes or just get the fuck out of dodge if she can't fight back. The fact that you can kill one of your hardest counters, even if it means using your ult, means you've got it pretty good.

Your ult isn't just for the multi kills. Its for taking out targets that might be hard to take down in conventional means.

Symmetra is pretty situational but when she works she fuckin works

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v62QjTOCClY

I'm still struggling at trying to figure Symmetra out. Either I have a godly game where I don't die and get a ton of eliminations or I spend the whole game trying to set turrets up and they just get destroyed immediately. If I see an enemy Winston I just want to switch heroes. I love her as a character but yeah, she's super hot/cold for me.

Play Hanzo for the first time.

gold medal 20 eliminations
gold medal 15 eliminations
cleared the point two times with my ultimate

meanwhile some guy from the start of the round till the end of the round kept telling me to switch from Hanzo,to not take a sniper and at the end was all "Hanzo, how many kills did you even get?"

When I told him about the gold medals, he left the game.

I like this community, it's like LoL and CS:GO and stuff like that.
A casual game that people can get mad at so you meet all these shitters who think they are hot but then rage quit out.

Also, 4 Tracers and two Lucios is hilarious.

I'm interesting in trying Widowmaker and Genji, I'm pretty shit with them though.

Anyone have tips?

Genji:
-Avoid Mai and Zarya.
-Be very careful around Roadhog. A hook is almost always instant death.
-Save your dash until you need an escape or you see a guaranteed kill.
-Careful with your reflect timing. The skill is a lifesaver, but it can be easy to waste.
-Remember to use your melee and your alt fire when up close.
-Your Ult has a noticeable windup. Activate it only when you know yourself to be safe.
-Like Tracer, it helps to know where the health packs are.

Is alt fire better/stronger?

With Widowmaker, you want to find nice points where you can easily shoot at chokepoints but also watch the objective if you need to. I tend to go for chest shots at full power most of the time since you can easily pop another bodyshot for the kill or leave them for teammates. Full power shots will kill Tracer, Zenyatta, and regular D.Va free so don't both with headshots unless you need to. Don't ignore tanks either, since bodyshots behind Rein's shield or shots towards D.Va's head add up fast.

At close range, just spray and aim for the head like you would with Tracer. I jump a lot to make things harder and if I can grapple I'll do that to make myself harder to hit. For poison mines, put them on random hallways that enemies can use to flank to help keep an eye on who is where. I also like to shoot them on control points to just add some extra damage.

Genji is tricky, you may want to check out Seagull's videos of him playing him. Obviously not everyone is as good as him but his movement show you how to effectively move around and more or less how to use him. I tend to use quick melee a lot with him as at close range you can do alt fire, dash melee, quick melee for a quick combo. Or alt fire, quick melee as a panic string in close range.

His counter is pretty easy to use. I like using it against characters who fire a lot of bullets like Bastion and 76 for easy kills. You can also use it to stop ults like Pharah's and Reaper's to stop them.

His ult is kind of hard to use but generally you want to use it after flanking the enemy team while they're clumped together to break them up.

People who play Torbjörn on attack make me want to sell this game.

A good Torbjorn can make it work though. It's an extra gun with better range, aim, and awareness than a lot of human players, his own gun is decent, and he can collect scraps to armor up the team as they push. I understand the apprehension though

On the other hand, nothing is quite so annoying as having 2 snipers on an attack escort, and when we inevitably hit overtime because we're deadlocked or losing, they just hang back instead of rushing in to extend the overtime timer when we have nothing to lose. Also annoying: inability or refusal to take out stationary targets like Bastions and turrets.
