Dark Souls 3 releasing tomorrow in Japan is the worst

Seriously, I hate it. I don't understand the decision. Like do they want it in their fiscal year or what ?

The thing I like most in Dark Souls 3 is having the feeling of 'the first of finding that out', even though I most likely did not find it out the first. Also, a lot of mystic get's lost, as a lot of people are just going to play it in japanese. The Dark Souls 3 wiki will be fleshed out when it releases here, I don't like that either.

There's not really a point of this thread, I am just a bit frustrated because of it and wanted to let it out.

But they had time to bring the darksouls3 chicken wings over.

Dark Souls....wings?

Kind of odd to have food to be associated with that sort of game.

Although wings are one of my favorites, just seems an strange mix.

This is Dark Souls, not some weeaboo game.
the last part should not be taken too seriously.
 
To import, I would just have to make a JPN PSN account?
Is this difficult? Can I use my US credit card? Does it wind up costing more than the US game? Can I play on my normal profile?

Considering the import mostly because of spoilers.

We're still waiting on the N64 to be released here.
 
I'm gonna have to go on internet black out. I like when everyone is experiencing the new content at the same time and discovering things.

By the time we get it in April, I feel much of the mystery will be gone.
 
Just import dude. People think it is hard to play foreign games, but fetralife and google live translation are the best thing ever for this.
 
Yeah I thought the days of mainstream games releasing in Japan first were over. In fact NA is getting more content first since it's the bigger market (PS4 itself launched first in NA).

Not a fan of people playing this, discovering secrets, then littering the internet with them 3 weeks before I get to play it.
 
I agree, it's going to be really painful to dodge spoilers for month but I've kinda gotten used to it since the embargo was lifted so early anyway.
First Dark Souls 3 thread I've clicked on in few weeks.
Oh well, it'll be worth it I'm sure!

I still hate the cover. Never thought this would be the final one. Worst cover of the Franchise.

Yeah JP Release sucks but it gives me time to play Night-Cry (Releasing 29th, announced today).

Yeah, you could also buy PSN credit on the internet. There are guides on how to make a jp psn account.

But seriously, why does it affect you that people are gonna fill out information on the wiki? You want to explore the game on your own pace, ignore the supplemental communities?

At least Japanese players will be ready to die due to any technical issues and can report it back to From who will hopefully have fixed some the first issues players come across by the time the rest of us get it.
 
I agree, but in age of all-revealing trailers, previews and other stuff that spoil half the game before it is released, training oneself to go on a media blackout on a subject is a nice skill to have. *looks at list of threads* "Dark Souls III blaa foo bar" --> *mentally ignore*.

Staggered release dates do suck though, and three week wait is a pain.
 
I feel you man, it sucks, but moments like these I feel it was worth it studying Japanese.

I need to get me some PSN cards today.

Japan always get the best cover. This time they got an awful cover, so I thought the rest of the world would get something better for once. They used the same cover.

It was one of the reasons I went digital, I own physical copies of all the other games in the series.
 
Same thing happened with DS1, and it didn't spoil enjoyment I had with that game. I watched the JP streams up until the NA release.

If you can't handle it then you best be on a full media blackout until launch.

That was just an example. Information will be out there. I will be spoiled. And it's annoying.

I like the unfinishedness of the wiki, like knowing something is still out there to finde out gives me the thrill. (A bit exaggerated but you get what i mean.
 
There was a time when Souls games weren't even considered outside of Asia. Be thankful you're even getting them up till the last one.

And I don't know what the problem is of avoiding spoilers. Just stop reading anything about the game, petty first world problem fixed.

You know what's more prolific than Dark Souls 3 info? Celebrity news and somehow I am able to remain oblivious to the happenings of the Kardashians, Bieber and whatever Kanye is up to.

You'll find a way.

I guess no english option is confirmed for JP release. I can probably make do with that...
Wish it had a bad translation like the Chinese Demon's Souls though. That was awesome.
 
I waited until the PC release to play the first one. Waited a month to play the PC release of DS2. Was never spoiled and never felt like I was getting less of an experience for not being "first". Don't see the big deal this time around either.
 
It's not out tomorrow OP don't lie.
Any way, I have the digital version preordered, but DOAX3 comes out the same day so I will be playing that instead :)
