Wasn't this movie being filmed in special IMAX cameras or something? Are there specific theaters I need to go to to experience it the best way possible?

Seeing it twice. Once on Thursday w/ the girlfriend and again on Saturday w/ the girlfriend+best friend.

I've made it a point to see every MCU movie twice.

Hell.. I might even go for the hat trick with this one. Spidey has been a long time coming.

Hmm, unexpectedly there are IMAX 2D options but showtimes are inconvenient. If true, might be worth it.

I have 1 2D showing at 830pm, which is perfect. I might be getting this confused with Avengers 3, which is completely shot in a new IMAX camera. I need to know before I pull the trigger!

Ah, it has a 15 minute IMAX fight scene. Now the question is if every IMAX screen will have that version of the film..

So..anyone have any idea if we need to go to special IMAX theaters to see special scene they filmed with the new camera?

Buying tickets over two months in advance for a film that's going to be in wide release for over a month seems really bonkers to me.

how so? I want to comfortably see it on the day it comes out. The only way to do that is to reserve tickets now. 5 minutes after the tickets went on sale the 'good' seats in the first 4 showings of the theater I was looking at were already taken.

It's more for people who want to make sure they get a specific showing opening day or are getting tickets at a theater with reserved seating. The latter is the biggest reason to buy tickets in advance.

ONCE AGAIN the fucking metreon in San Francisco not selling IMAX tickets for pre-order... this is so terrible. Just like with BvS. sigh.

It's the only full size IMAX in the area.

Fucking love reserved seating! Got my favorite seats in the only real IMAX 2D showing of the day. Don't have to show up until 5 minutes before. Love it.

Crazy as Regal Hacienda (where I always go since it's 2 min. from my house) always has their IMAX showings up for preorder as soon as they have showtimes. Granted, Dublin is 45 min. away from the San Francisco, but at least both Dublin and San Jose also have true IMAX theaters to serve the Bay Area aside from just San Francisco.

I called them about this last week and it has to do with some kind of repairs or restoration they are doing and they could not provide a timeline for when it will be ready, they originally told me they thought it would be ready in time for BvS, but now that tickets are not even on sale for a film coming out way later, I am having my doubts.

I love that tickets for big movies go on sale early and that our imax has reserved seating. So much less of a hassle than getting there stupid early to get in line. I'm too old for that now.

Yeesh, you'd think AMC would be on top of making sure that their IMAX screen would at least be ready for BvS but guess not.

Best of luck man, hope you'll at least be able to see this on IMAX when it drops.

And bought for my family, best seats in the IMAX in town.

Sadly, I'm in Houston that weekend for work. I'll just have to find a good theater...
