Canadian Gaming "Deals" and Discussion Thread 6: Sorry, We Can't Afford a New Thread

Arg these prices are killing me. Anything that missed out on the 30% off from either the last e3 or cyber monday like Nights of Azure is just too expensive.

$85 for a consle game before tax is bannans and I bet handeld stuff like Bravely Second is going to be $60!!! That's more then I make on an average shift!!!

The truely sad thing is lately I've been getting more hours at work then I ever used to in past years and yet even when you combine that with the fact I've also cut out alot of expensies by not collecting skylanders or anime dvd/blue rays anymore I still can't afford shit.

A funny coincidence happened while reading the thread about not buying Paper Jam. I was originally going to cancel it, but decided I would just sell it if I didn't want it. I got the double 30% CS error applied, but I didn't know how much would be actually charged. While reading the thread, I got the shipment email from Amazon. I am getting Paper Jam for $20.33 after taxes, and that means a discount of 60%. Needless to say, I am going to keep it because I doubt it will drop anywhere near this price in the next year.

Amazon shipped my copy of Paper Jam. Game got some mixed reviews, but I decided to hang on to the game and decide for myself since I probably won't see it this low of a price for a while, if ever.

Due to prices I'm really planning to cut back on getting some games this year, going to be very picky.

The good news is that allows me to actually play some of the damn games I've been getting over the last year or so.

Hahaha, I just noticed that Amazon has an extra note after the free shipping option basically saying that you have to wait 1-3 days for things to ship.

Bravely Second preordered. It hurts. IT HURTS. At least I'm getting decent gameplay/price ratio... Probably spent about 60 hours with the first one, so less than $2 an hour isn't bad.

...At least, that's what I'm telling myself to stay sane.

I pre-ordered Bravely CE against my better judgment...

hoping $110 is a precautionary move by Amazon or NoC just in case the dollar drops to $0.65 or something in the next couple months, and if it holds at $0.70 then it'll be $100

can't believe i'm hoping a game will cost $100, fuck my life

I just want the regular edition of Bravely Second. Still waiting for it to be up for preorder somewhere. 10 song sampler is worthless. I have zero interest in art books.

Went to preorder on my phone and it wouldn't let me for some reason despite saying it's in stock.

Frustrating.

Edit: Pokken was up too. Fuck.

Got that Bravely Second order in. Pokken was taken down before I knew it was up. Next time I see it I know it will retail for more. Thanks Harper!

Let us welcome the new $80-90 videogame overlords. May their reign be long, harsh, and full temporary price drop glories.
