We can only pray for the best. I won't be buying the Asian version from Play Asia since our dollar morphed into the peso. If the digital version is priced reasonably then I'll preorder. I want to support this game, I really do, but the cost for games is making that a real issue.
In other news, Justin plans to lay out a plan to get our economy out of this rut, while the Bank of Canada will soon make another announcement on rates. Save our dollar Justin, SAVE OUR DEALS. God speed.
Anyway to get BB to apply the 30% off pre-order discount to new price? My 30% was applied when it was $99, but I'd obviously like it to be updated with the correct price if possible... or maybe I'll just cancel.
The most common thing a lot of people change the sticks and buttons. Often people prefer to install actual arcade parts like Sanwa and Seimitsu parts, of course that's a moot point here as these are actual Sanwa parts used in the Madcatz sticks. That of course still leaves the option of replacing the buttons for colour reasons.
IE: This is my current Qanba Q4RAF
It came with Sanwa buttons already, but I replaced them with transparent ones, and cut the artwork so it would flow with the whole stick. Also changed the ball top to a blue bubble ball top because I already had one on hand, and it looks really good with the art.
Of course mods can go much deeper, such as changing the PCB internals for some sticks (often when people want to make sticks work for multiple systems)
I also have the TES+ and TE2+ both pre-ordered and have been deciding on which to keep.
Of course I may go with neither as a new PCB that features full PS4 compatibility with no 8-minute timeout is finally coming, and I could always mod that into my Qanba
Yes the picture was from a post made from a BB employee (I believe) from Nov 2015 when the price was $99 (which was supposed to be a filler price). Yes they adjusted it to the correct price of $79.99 right now (it was $79.99 but they increased it after a few days and it stayed at $99 during the sale). And yes, YMMV with getting the 30% off the corrected price. When she posted the pre-order guarantee (you can check the pic from Nov 2015 during the cyber monday sale), a lot of people thought that they would adjust the price with the 30%, now it all comes down to luck lol.
Older PS4 compatible PCB (Like the AkiShop PS360+) would need to be reset after eight minutes due to bluetooth authentication with the board. So... it was incredibly inconvenient. It was unfortunately just how things were due to the way Sony designed the PS4 to interact with peripherals.
Fortunately the TES+, TE2+, and that new Brook PCB all don't have that issue. I believe the Hori HRAP V4 Hayabusa is also free of that issue.
Knock on wood, but that's the same process I got offered when I asked for the multipreorder discount to be applied in arrears to my Xenoblade X CE preorder late last year. I too took down a ticket number for the call but I never had to reference it again.
What ended up happening was I got charged for the full order price, then got a refund of the difference applied when it shipped. It was two seperate transactions, the full charge and the refund, but it worked out in the end. It was not visible from the order page details on the site, but if I went to my order and brought up "show invoice", it included the discount as a separate line item.
I can also vouch for this. I had to move some Future Shop orders to Best Buy and they told me the same thing. Ended up getting charged the full amount, followed by a refund for the difference a few days later. Even got the taxes right, which is more than I can say for the E3 preorders I placed through BB last year.
Mr. Fan highlighted the fact that prices are not increasing in Quebec, Manitoba or Saskatchewan, which are all provinces with four wireless players with competitive networks.
Mr. Fan highlighted the fact that prices are not increasing in Quebec, Manitoba or Saskatchewan, which are all provinces with four wireless players with competitive networks. Although Wind Mobile Corp. operates in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, its unreliable 3G network is likely not seen as a perfect substitute for taking market share from the Big Three, which all operate LTE networks.
He cautioned that while there is little the federal government and regulators can do to address such price increases in the short term, they could factor into future policy decisions to offer more support for fourth players, in particular Wind and Videotron Ltd. Such support could come through lower rates for wholesale roaming services or reserving cheaper cellular airwaves in spectrum auctions for fourth players.
Mr. Fan noted the companies are also cutting out or reducing BYOD (bring your own device) incentives, which have previously entitled customers who own their smartphone outright to monthly discounts of about $20 on their service plans. We think that is a signal that the free-agent base may be getting too big and the carriers want to incentivize them to sign contracts, he said.
Bell said it spends $3 billion annually to expand its broadband networks, but that most equipment comes from suppliers who charge U.S. dollars.
"The massive and ongoing investment required to build world class infrastructure is coming at a significantly higher cost due to the weak dollar," a company spokesman said in an email.
I love talking to retention departments at Canadian telecoms - A couple months ago, I talked to Shaw, a year before that Rogers. Particularly, I love their excuses when I start talking about how Canada has the highest pricing in the developed world, or how their prices are magically lower in areas with strong competitors. You get some creative responses, that's for sure.
Seriously, the government should investigate the big three for collusion, it's absurd.

I need to get through to Telus retentions at some point, although I've been holding off as I would accept a bump to fiber speeds in lieu of a discount on my current plans and can't see them doing both.
Also got my Elite controller that I bought from Amazon last week - it's glorious.
Only messed around with for an hour or so, but going to the PS4 controller after was a bizarre experience as it felt like it was made of cardboard. Every other controller feels like crap in comparison, I've been ruined.
I'm so glad I have my Rogers Corp350 5GB plan for $50 from 2009. I can't believe phone plans are getting WORSE. Like how is that even possible, ffs.... I'm never gonna give up my plan.

Sounds like me after getting a Steam Controller. Seriously, next gen Playstation and Xbox controllers better have touchpads and full blown button customization. It's so hard to go back to regular controllers once you're used to the Steam Controller.

I need to pick up one of those at some point - less because I really want one and more because I'm curious. Is EB Games still the only store who sells them here?

Will PS4 digimon be really rare or will it drop lower than $63 and be buyable? I don't have any time to start an RPG on console for a while...i wish I could predict the future but SAO for example dropped price and disappeared off BB's site lol
