wow I may be returning something to Amazon

it's still coming my way tho. should I refuse delivery at the door and that'll work itself out or should I just take it then deal with getting a label or whatever

Brehs.

$84.99 is only the beginning, I'm predicting we will see $94.99 before the end of the year

I want this game but didn't preorder it - I think it was available for one of those Amazon promotions before.

Now I'm kicking myself, and will ask for a raise.

Refuse delivery, it will work itself out that way and you won't have to go through the hassle of printing out a label and returning it through CP. I've done it before.

Yeah, go for it.

Might be the last we see of prices this low.

Just did! This is the lowest it's been, right? Or I guess there was that no tax thing at RCSS, but there was so little stock there.

Anyways, it came out to $372.89. I was planning to wait until FF15 was out, but with our dollar somehow digging through rock bottom to find new lows, I feared this would be the lowest we'll see it at.

PS4 w/ Uncharted collection and Silver Headset $329.99 @ Dell

Great price if you happen to miss holiday deals. Great price regardless.

Holy moly! I was pissed at myself for missing the 350 boxing week sale at Amazon, this is great!

I don't see Canada anywhere on that page (edit: Yes I do, in the URL, CA and CAD), but I guess the above poster confirmed it's all Canadian? Jumping on this immediately!

They take paypal too!

With the dollar tracking to 65 cents in the next year or two, yeah, this may be the last of the big ones until next boxing day!

I'm actually not sure, but the prices seem to be in line with Canadian exchange rate. $80 games and whatnot. The PS4 that's on sale has a regular price close to $490.

Just bought it, it's definitely in CAD, confirmed with Paypal! Thanks again for posting!

380 CAD total...Actually saved 20 bucks for being an idiot and missing the Amazon sale, lol. With the Silver Headset more like ~60 saved, and over 150 off it all originally

Passed on the Amazon sale for the PS4 but Dell letting you use two Credit Cards (had a $25 sitting around for months from TD) and the free, apparently OK, headset pushed me over the edge.

Already have a PS4 controller so after I offload the one that comes with the console it's really not a bad price at all.

I have a christmas cheque from my grandmother. It's in US dollars. Should I cash it in soon or hold on to it for a few weeks to get a greater value? (Sorry I know this is a bit off topic to the thread)

Do you guys think I could get a price match at a Best Buy on that? They give 10% off if its lower than their price.

Probably best to call them and ask. I've price matched an Amazon deal with them before over the phone and placed the order with the person I was speaking to. Order was ready to be picked up in store shorty after. This was a few years ago though, things might have changed.

Wonder how BB would handle the silver headset addition, which isn't in their own Uncharted bundle. They do have a clause against "free with purchase" bundles that they might argue that is.

Ah well, already ordered from Dell, I'm hyped!

This is making me think it's a price error. I don't know how Dell.ca handles price errors. Those who ordered: brace for disappointment?

My paypal order already went through at 380 after tax and the order is already "in production" with a ship date estimate of the 13th, so I'm fairly sure it's going to go through.

And I still see 330 on the deal page?

Weird. I see $430. And yeah, $330 doesn't sound low enough to be a price error. A great deal for sure, though.

Edit: And now I see $330. Is it just flip-flopping? lol

Edit 2: Checked on RFD and someone called them to check. $330 is the correct price according to them.

Is "as much as possible" code for "not at all"?

Actually no, the PS4 itself is a good example, if priced at the exact exchange rate we should actually be paying more for it even before discounts.

I know our CAD sucks and everything looks awful on pricing, but if you do the conversions, you do indeed see what the article says sometimes, with our converted prices being less in USD than they are sold for in America.

Retailers know sales will tank even more if none of it is absorbed, it's not high charity, but it softens the blow a bit.

In the case of the PS4, Sony did the "temporary" price cut to $299 recently. That will be the permanent price soon and we just won't get that price cut at all.

Edit 2: Checked on RFD and someone called them to check. $330 is the correct price according to them.

Huh, now I see 430 as well, with a 59 dollar discount shown... I had seen 330 the few times I refreshed before.

Ah well, still looks so far so good, paypal took 380 after tax from me and Dell is shipping it.

Maybe the website is automatically increasing the price due to volume of orders? Then when sales slow the sale price is re-enforced creating a see-saw

When you search out PS4 it comes up as this...

PS4_zps3jtqmueb.jpg

But when you click on the product, the price has been changed. Use the above image and get chat to make the adjustment.

Well now I'm glad I didn't cancel it and try to get it at best buy, lol.

I think it's just the website automatically raising prices when demand fluxuates up, and then resetting to the sale price when sales die down.

In regards to games. I'd say they are. Not off the regular price, but we're seeing far more 20-30% off preorder deals than usual nowadays. The 30% off preorder deals only used to happen at e3. But we've seen them happen twice since, and 20% off deals became even more common.

It's likely that games aren't selling well at the regular raised prices these days, forcing retailers to do these deep discount sales more often.

Lots of people on red flag deals also saying chat corrected the price for them, 330 appears to be right.
Edit: Actually the last page now says a rep said there was a glitch and 430 was right...Seems like different reps within Dell are saying different things. They'd better not cancel prior orders!

Web caches across multiple servers take time to update which makes it look like their price is fluctuating when it probably isn't. Depending on which you get the cached page at the time, it could look like one price and then the other at the next reload.

They called me and said it was a system glitch and cancelled my order, pretty shitty.

I love how someone on RFD will always call or highlight these pricing errors to customer support, leading to them being shut down quickly. It's happened on there so many times

For people well used to hunting bargains there sure are a lot of morons on there

So anyone with the confirmation email get it later cancelled, or did they only cancel ones that they said they'd call later to confirm so far?

thanks. gotta tell other people in the house to keep an eye out for the delivery dude

Did they give you anything? I want to say the last time I had an order from Dell.ca cancelled they gave me a 10% coupon or something.

Nope, just seemed like they were trying to put the price back as quick as possible.
Also @LordOfChaos, no my order didn't go through at all. The price changed while it was in my cart. The chat rep saw my screenshot and said they'd call me for a quote, then the phone rep said they couldn't do it because it was a glitch. I asked why some orders did go through and she said that the orders that did go through will probably be honoured.

Guess I was just too slow haha
