OK so I tried best buy again for FE fates and I got a preorder for conquest today.
I chose to go at opening hour instead of the packed hour in the afternoon, finally it worked.
Dude that helped me had a knee jerk reaction that all of the preorders are sold out, I had to explain to him that I dont want the LE.
He said he was getting at least one inquiry for the LE every other day for the past week or two and he had to turn away all of them

Keep going back and forth on that PS4 from Amazon. I would probably still end up playing most third party games on my XB1 but most of the exclusives on PS4 that I'm interested in I still have predecessors on the PS3 I have not played or beaten. There are some big 2016 exclusive games I'm very interested in picking up though...
Add to that I can stream my roommate's PS4 in the basement to the PSTV upstairs (did so for MGSV and it was fine) and it becomes a hard sell. But being able to get Rock Band 4 with all my DLC is still very tempting...

So, is a class action lawsuit being made for the Project Spark refund mess?
They originally said this:
"Retail Disc Refunds
All retail discs purchased since July 28, 2015 are eligible for a refund. Do not go to your local retailer for a refund, they will not be able to grant one. Retail disk refunds are activated by product key redemptions, and are granted in the form of Windows Store Credit. Store Credit will be given to users within 30-60 days of the Project Spark marketplace removal on October 5."
Notice; this makes it sound as though everyone who purchases a disc after July 28, 2015 is eligible for a refund within 30-60 days of October 5th.
And then they quieted edited this post months later in December to now read this:
"Retail Disc Refunds
All retail discs purchased and redeemed between July 28, 2015 and October 5, 2015 are eligible for a refund. If you made a purchase during this period, do not go to your local retailer for a refund, they will not be able to grant one. Retail disk refunds are activated by product key redemptions, and are granted in the form of Windows Store Credit. Store Credit will be given to users within 30-60 days of the Project Spark marketplace removal on October 5. If you purchased a retail disc after October 5, 2015, you will not be eligible for a refund through this process. Contact your local retailer."
Notice that now they advise to contact your local retailer for a refund, despite advising against it before. And worse, they say you won't get a refund if you bought the game after October 5th. This was not mentioned originally, and now for many people (myself included) it is impossible to return the game to the store as I had already opened, redeemed the game, and waited months for a refund from Microsoft.

It went free-to-play, and they promised refunds to people who bought the disc, and now they are not giving them out. Fraud basically.

Ah, that sucks. I guess they are afraid of people buying the game for clearance and trying to turn that into Microsoft credit or something.
Then they should've thought about it before promising customers they'd get a refund. They made that decision to make people less upset, and now it's doing the opposite and blowing up in their faces. Don't lie to me to make us "feel better" then change the deal without telling anyone publicly.

Yeah, I can imagine how frustrating it'd be if you bought one of those packs and had no idea that they were making it free to play. Maybe they should just give everyone credit and eat the cost.

I sent Cineplex an email because the dialogue volume mixing was low in my Star Wars screening, and they offered me two free movie coupons and one free popcorn. My popcorn was also crappy, especially for $7, but I did eat it all.

My Trails of Cold Steel order is stuck like this. I called Bestbuy today and they told me they'll escalate my order and got a ~ who knows maybe you'll get a refund on the price you paid ~
It just boggles my mind how they can screw this up when it's literally being sent from the town next to mine.
(Then again, none of the packages that have been sent to me from overseas from late November and early December have arrived either... two of those have tracking too.)

Alright. I took the plunge and bought 2 EVOs... A part of me wonders if I should have mixed a MX with a EVO though. But I'm sure 2 EVOs would be the better choice in the end.

I have a little bit of Steam credit I can use.
As a first party game that's been selling well on the Wii U I doubt it. I would suggest finding one at a local Shoppers and save up them Optimum points for redemption day.

You have to cancel within 30 minutes -_- I had to go in store and and basically tell them I need to return it when picking it up.

At least Microsoft's web support actually tries to help, holy shit. I'm stuck in an argument where the agent (Humberto) is trying to tell me that I made this up.

That might be my fault. I keep using it as filler to get free shipping, then cancel.
There is a preorder beta code though.
I am 100000% sure Amazon's best seller list is rigged somehow. I'm not sure if spots are bought, or if the things is just straight up buggy, but seeing the fucking Ouya in the top 20 (usually number 1) from the day it launched until the day it was discontinued was enough to show me that the thing wasn't on the up and up.
I do eBay but it can take 1-4 days.

The last time I disputed something with my Bank I had the option to either just get the funds back and say fuck you, or to have my bank resend the confirmation of the money transfer to the company and inquire with their financial dept why I wasn't credited on their end, so maybe check with your bank if they have protocol.
I've done that once lol. I actually ordered two copies of the same book, but one was a lower price. so when I picked up the order i told him I want to return one...
seriously though not being able to cancel a pre-order for something which comes out in 6 months just because 30 mins have passed is dumb. I got them to do it by email though without any trouble.
