This show is so much better than Scandal.
Annalise is an actual person, and everyone on the show gets a chance to shine, rather than focusing on a will they or won't they romance.

I started watching that show last month, it is amazing how much more professional Frank is compared to Huck.

what I love about this show is how I like every character in it (well aside from bonnie but she's barely present lbr). Most shows I watch I hate at least one of the main characters but in this I even love doucheface.

Eh, they both suffer from "omg these women are the best at their job and they never show emotion" but they cry all the time. Not saying it's a sign of weakness to cry, but Olivia was crying like once an episode at one point. Annalise does too it seems. I will say that at least Annalise isn't QUITE as Mary Sue-ish as Olivia.
But this season has been pretty fun so far, will watch last night's episode later.
Some of these court cases are getting hard to buy when they do the whole rock star moment "twists."
Like, why would the nitro being in his blood not be known already? And why would it not very easily blow up in her face. They were at a sex party, I'd think someone on the prosecution's side would have the gall to suggest drugs might have been taken at such a party. Doesn't feel like something that should have been the home run moment.

I want more scenes with just the students
Yeah I'm surprised they haven't done more of them, they're pretty great
I get it in the first season as they didn't like each other but now they're all friends you'd think we'd get more relationship building between them

I love how there are no morally good characters. Everyone's a piece if shit
They're all deeply flawed individuals, yes. Even Bonnie turned out to be a stone cold killer.
The students aren't that bad though. I mean, aside from covering up a homicide, the worst they've done is usual college kid shit. Connor cheated on his boyfriend, Michaela is a little shallow, Laurel is disingenuous and Wes, well aside from killing Sam, is actually a good person albeit one ruled by emotions.
Asher is still - for now at least, pending on his past scandal - the most normal of the lot.
They gonna bond even more after whatever the hell happens with annalise this season.

Curious about the Asher side plot, was something about this hinted in S1? cuz i can't remember
Aside from the DA making that, "I know what happened last summer," -esque comment by the DA to Asher in the premier of this season, I don't recall it really being mentioned, even in S1. Maybe when he visited his dad when they were working on the David Allen case? I watched it fairly recently, but it could easily be a detail I looked over as insignificant at the time.
I guess, Asher did always look a bit uncomfortable any time Keating mentioned that everyone has secrets. It's about time it surfaces properly.

I've been binging this instead of studying for midterms and caught up as of last week. tbh, my overall feel for this show is a resounding, "What the actual fuck is going on."

You could smell the crazy on the client from the jump, lol.
Still a good episode in terms of pushing the overarching plot forward though.

Phoenix was amazing in the courtroom dissing the prosecution talking about how she wasn't good enough to get into harvard.
This season is good. The mechanic of "HERE'S SOMETHING SHOCKING..HOW DID IT HAPPEN? REWIND AND LETS FIND OUT OVER TIME!" is wearing a bit thin imo, it's lazy writing to continually confuse the audience as a device of suspense. It's more impressive to tell a linear story and shock me as we go, then shock me because you showed me the very last second of this season and now I wonder what would make that scene possible.
Anyhow, still enjoy the show even if every person on it is terrible.
