Nash was teased at the end of a trailer. Mika's microphone was shown in an Ono tweet (which came after the reveal because of the trailer being put up early).

I think a lot of what made SFII's cast memorable/iconic was that they almost always combined a geographical region and/or nationality along with a fighting style. Every character having their own stage along with the game showing you on a world map where exactly each stage was located really tied the character, the location, and the 'world warrior' aspect of the game together. This allowed the stage to be an extension of the character's personality. Combine this with the iconic music for each character/stage and you have something that sticks with people.
Yeah so his twitter teases have only fallen under the two I listed. Also, you forgot Mika. He posted one image on twitter and then the leak immediately happened.

That's precisely why I didn't put her in. I falsely thought the leak happened before Ono caught wind of it. Although it doesn't make sense to leave her off the list as he still teased her even if that were true.

If anything I do hope the new character will be playable and we get some footage.
Other than that, recall that Necalli and Ken were not revealed early.
Furthermore, I look forward to Ono's cosplays.

Eisbahn wasn't in the Ken Bogard leak, who's proven himself to be reliable on multiple occasions. That is, unless Eisbahn is from North Africa & they changed his name since Ken Bogard got his info.
Dudley and Rog not enough? Rog is surely in the game. It doesn't make sense to put claw and dictator in the game and leave him out.
Cody's criminal upper comes out of his fist. His body would be in the frame if that was the case.

I kinda hate how my favorite characters' attacks seems to be given to others in function or appearance. That is if this is some kind of tornado move and not Cody, (I don't think it is). Same with Rose's absorb/reflect. It makes the chances of them appearing much less likely due to repetition.

Maybe, but I still think it pushes them back in the priority list if other characters have similar skills.

When the series has like literally 20 shotos,...no.
I don't get why the other styles have to be limited to 2-3 people but shotos can fill up all the slots they want. That isn't fair.

The point is that it would be a dumb name. About as dumb as trying to defend it.
Ryu is a real name, Twelve isn't a person, who knows WTF Q is, and Poison is a gang nickname.
"Ice Rink" isn't quite on those levels.
EDIT: Caught your first edit, missed your second. Are you really going to just keep updating as names with other uses occurs to you?

Whether it's a dumb name or not it doesn't automatically mean it's not a character just because it's dumb
Why can't Ice Rink be a nickname? I'm not saying it's good but I wouldn't just put it aside just because it means something silly in the language it comes from

Could be, it's not like that'd be without precedent. It's hard for me to imagine a context where that still wouldn't be goofy as all fuck. Almost every other ice-themed nickname I can possibly think of is better than ice rink.
And it could very well be a character with a dumb name that only sounds cool to people who don't know what it means, who knows.
