I'm pretty happy with that cast so far. I'm interested in seeing the new characters. I don't expect my main (Dan) to return, at least for a while, but Ken looks like a great substitute for now.

Yeah, Ken is my main, atm...looks kinda weak though. Everything he does is short range and mostly unsafe, he feels pretty gimmicky atm. Hoping it's just early design.

Don't think he is especially... Maybe it's cuz Bruce Lee types are a dime a dozen in fgs? Or maybe it's that in his most recent incarnation he was really solid but kinda boring?
Since when was Karin that popular?! She's been nonexistent since the Alpha days, but here she is, outranking Ryu in Japan! More importantly, however, is that Q was doing pretty well, too...
I'm convinced that Karin's on the base roster, but maybe Q'll be DLC? And I'm just going to assume that the glaring omission of Eagle was because they were convinced he'd win, or something...
It's lonely here, on the Eagle Defense Force.

I think capcom may be doing something with Q because I remember when there was a Tekken cross street fighter poll and Q was really high up there. Then there were reports of Harada saying that he wasn't allowed to use Q by request of capcom, something along those lines. Or they just want to treat him like he doesn't exist.
She got the young female bonus and wasn't in 4, that helps.
I kinda hope she doesn't make it into the core roster, unless they change her a lot.

Your guess is as good as mine. But given the amount of detail that goes into one character, I'm thinking one at a time. That is, unless they have a few DLC characters ready to go at launch.

They said that they want them to come out at a steady pace. So I could see them releasing a new character every other month.
Wasn't Elena's grand return in SFxT, though? I mean, she was put into Ultra not too long after, though, and she was supposedly cut from Super... This could go either way for Q, though. Maybe Elena was a special case and got in because of it, or maybe Q was off-limits because they don't want him back.
True. But so does Maki. People just dig that Noblewoman's laugh, I guess. I'd rather have someone else, since I never played Alpha (I only used Eagle in CvS 2, hence him being my favorite Alpha character). But we need a Rekka character, and she does have plenty of fans. So I'll be happy if she gets in. Just not as happy as if we got, say, Necro. I like that guy.

I can see Capcom releasing a character a month to keep people interested, not unlike how Splatoon releases their updates (albeit on a more regular basis). Not a problem for me, since I was able to save 1.5 million coins in Splatoon, so I'll likely have the Fight Money needed for each character.

Eagle's awesome, people just don't really remember him
His design is super generic looking, and not many people know about him. He'll never top any charts.
Dudley is a better version of that design.

I think people it's overthinking to much Ryu's block effect. Let's show why
As you can see that blue effect it's already in the game. It poops at every hit that's block. The stronger the attack it's, the bigger it is.
So I wouldn't mind about it. The only remarkable thing that I'll point out it's that I belive the attack Ryu it's blocking hits like an overhead[/U (Looking at it twice I don't think that anymore, but it's not a crouch attack)].
Also for the record, projectiles don't cause that effect on block.
Just for the people hoping that it's some kind of Fuhajin (Don't worry guys, she's going to make it post launch :'( ).
Now let's focus on Onosan picture.
Being Ono who we speaking about, do we really belive this shoot hasn't a deeper meaning? Yeah, maybe the guy wanted to show a new bag,,, but why also show your sneakers, that are almost the same color than the bag? To prove that you like to match coloros? C'mon guys, let's be real.
Later I can be wrong, but I think he's showing the character colors. And also the bag could indicating that it's a female.
So going back to the main image
it's clear that blanka it's covering the character, just allowing those effects that surround him. Putting together that and the colors mentioned before it could be this move by this character.

So yep, my guess it's that the hint it's leading to Karin. If not I guess it'll be a new character, but despites most people opinion I think that it's better to show a new character at TGS, It's easier to introduce it to mainstream audience due press coverage.
Will see if I should become some kind of detective or I'm the ultimate fraud (And Ono surpass Hashimoto as the ultimate troll).
