The r mika controversy is funny to me.
Pro wrestler with exaggerated features and a revealing outfit. Makes sense to me. She's meant to be extreme.
Maybe they should release dlc where she's in a full business suit?
She's basically zangief's sakura. Pro wrestler is a bold and unique choice for a woman, and shows strength and dedication to a dream. She's not ashamed of her flamboyant costume or style.

Honestly, I think R Mika makes a ton of sense to be the way she is and I loved her in Alpha 3 as well. It's the other female characters that are really fucked imo, and just the general jiggle physics in play.

What's even funnier to me is that some people, for some truly absurd reason, feel the need to tell R.Mika fans to explain themselves as to why, in "better-be-good-or-else" over-justifying detail, why they like her. What a world we live in, where a fun character has created such a laughably sad shitstorm.

This just seems like he was talking about R. Mika in relation to his previous thoughts on 'joke characters' (even though I never really considered R. Mika one) than anything about a controversy with her Tn'A.

It's funny to me because I find her costume to be silly rather than funny, now a business suit would be more sexy.
Speaking of which, I wonder how would the game get past censorship in the Middle East with R.Mika and Cammy. Especially that Capcom is pushing for it there harder than they did for any other game before!

My problem with R. Mika isn't that she's just another sexualized depiction of woman in video games, it's that she's become this sexualized downgrade from what she used to be in the SF Alpha series. It's all the little things they added like how her outfit was modified to accentuate her ass and tits more, how now there's comically exaggerated jiggle physics on said ass and tits, and to how there's random male gaze shots of her ass during fights. It's just comes off as being cheap and pandering, especially since she really didn't evoke that back in Alpha 3.

To be fair all the things you mentioned - camera angles, physics - were features that weren't around when Alpha 3. Plus R Mika is basically known for her butt stomp attack so it makes sense to play that angle up now. Street Fighter has always been as unsubtle as it can be and this is no exception.
