Can't say I'm all that fond of this one, personally. I think it's a combination of thinking a hellish landscape seems out-of-tone for Legend of Zelda and this one isn't as good as the Ico one you just did. I also can't help but feel that Ganon's head is weird-looking. He's supposed to be looking up, right? So the two glowing dots are his nostrils? But that's just me, preferring the less-realistic Zelda art-styles as well.
People remembering that scene are fine with it

I simply recommend everyone to do the following:
1. replay the game and comprehend the fact that the ending of OoT (and LttP, and TP) are all very dark. Oriotos' image simply portraits an identical feeling to those that aren't equipped with the most expensive nostalgia glasses.
2. download the high resolution file in order to appreciate the details that has been put on this particular picture. It's on par with the ICO one (in terms of details, strictly speaking).
3. Listen to this while looking at the picture. I think that adds to the atmosphere that orioto has created

I don't 'defense force' specific things per se (I am without a doubt one of the biggest Blizzard fans on this forum, but I'll still call them out on shit when they do shit decisions) - but I just feel that some people don't actually take their time and really look at your art. One quick glimpse on a detailed painting is not enough time to start judging something, and I have a feeling most people do that.

Thx, actualyl i looked at 3ds version first but the screens and videos are bad and it seemed to me the sky was colorful in this version. I had to decide but i prefer to stay with the original vibe.
Well you cant control how people look at your art unfortunately, but you can defend your choices
I appreciate it, but I just don't particularly feel the need to put a giant Ganon on my wall.

But yes i know that, i did it for a collab with some deviant group, they ask me. I know boss fight won't sell. People want quiet peacefull, dreamy things from me (and on their wall).
Well yes, that's rather a lot cuter isn't it. =P

FFVII Life stream came in yesterday and got it hung up. Damn, Orioto, you did a really fantastic job on this. Looks even better in person. Had an idea finding a good sizing frame though...had to get one a couple inches bigger than the poster.
My mom saw it and was floored on how beautiful it looked. She had no idea it was video game based. I have been spreading your name around to friends and family, so hopefully you get more people who will buy from you.

And excuse my post about your Zelda picture. It wasn't meant as a criticism, just my own opinion and reasoning behind not commenting when I usually try to since you had bumped the thread. I mentioned that my foray with Zelda is pretty much limited to the 2D ones, so i tend to view the whole Zelda series through that lens, when in fact, most people care more about the 3D ones!

But i've been a little pissed on this one since lots of people were not happy with the way it looks, disregarding the original look. It's a mix really, some people looooovvve that piece and some don't at all.
I hope secretly FFIV wins cause i have no idea what i could do with tactics, and the isometric view will be a huge problem

Eh, can't please them all, no use getting mad about it.
Let the people that love it love it, and the others that don't love it love your other art. :3 From my experience, the hardcore Zelda fanbase can be a bit... troublesome as well (not saying everyone, of course).I'll throw a vote in for IV (though I would have voted for V if that had a better shot, lol xD)

So good....
I don't think it's really a problem, the original Tartarus is green with red blood dripping off the stairs and balconies on the edges.
I think in the context of the whole picture, a more red than green tower should be fine!

I second Cecil becoming a Paladin as that's one of the most defining moments in the game, story-wise. The other one that I fondly remember when I played it was Porom and Palom's sacrifice by turning themselves into stone.

Well yeah i've look at different version, 3ds, psp. the ground of the room isn't always made of the same thing. I think i would go for something with more perpective and a giant wall/mirror in front of them, also the two pillars would be huge to. Something more epic.

Despite not having played Persona, I'm truly looking forward to this! I don't know what you're doing Orioto, but the last couple of pieces that you've made has contained more detail than ever before.

Well it took me faaaaar longer than I expected but I finally got me some Orioto artwork, albeit a cheap option but it's a start and I'm sure I said I'd get round to doing this like 2 years ago now.
And of course it was the DKC1 themed piece.
Makes me wish a DKC2 piece was something that would actually sell to someone other than me and like two or three others.
And nice work on the Persona 3 piece.
