I had my PS4 DMZ'd the entire "3rd" day and I only got matches in the last hour of beta testing. I honestly believe it was more on them that I got matches than anything I did. It was like this for the end of the 2nd night where the last 30 minutes and 45 minutes past the time of the beta worked flawlessly, most likely due to the offloading of users who went to bed / believed the beta was over.

I just really hope the final game has lobbies for ranked games like SF4 instead of just matchmaking like SFxT
I forwarded my port a while back when I was trying to play Assassins Creed Unity online (along with getting my PS4 DMZ'd). It improved my ACU online play but it didn't impact SFV much although I guess without it I might've had 0 minutes in training and 0 matchces (as opposed to 40 minutes in training and 2 matches).
There might be some truth to it of course.
I heard that last night around 2 AM there was a phase of an hour where the beta was actually working decent. I had already gone to bed and didn't want to bother with the beta anymore and I assume other people did as well so that's probably why the people who kept it got a better experience.

The geotargeting is real. Everytime I got in, if I got a match it was against similar people. I got paired 3 times against a guy that was AFK, after being disconnected 5 times and returning. There was a moment where we could get into training easy, along with several folks in the chat around the same time, but they had the same issue, no games could be found. Others were saying they were in matches fine. lolbetalol

Eh, I dunno if it's that. TBH, i have no clue what it is. Not talking about matches, talking about getting straight into the server. Also just confirm or deny for us straight up, it really wouldn't be that hard to do >_> Better than a lot of people sitting here wondering if notable people can get in easier due to being on a list.

The game is supposed to be built from the ground up for tournament and e-sports and have tools for such.
I feel very confident that there will be a lobby system, hopefully locked and unlocked lobbies though I can also see how they would believe that if everyone is in their own lobbies it could make matches harder to find.

Well, I have worked for Capcom on UMVC3, SFxT, DuckTales, Strider, USF4, MVC Origins and Darkstalkers(I've never ever been paid to play a game/promote one however, except Yatagarasu). A lot of the other streamers have really good clout with the company too. I wouldn't be surprised if they were letting some in to play. However, I only got a handful of matches. Valle has uploaded more games than I played in the first 4 hours yesterday. So it makes sense. If I was on Illuminati login, I would have assumed it would have worked for the 15 hours I streamed the game to only look at 21007.
Don't mind them man too much salt can be unhealthy for some individuals.

The answer is obviously the beta was severely under budgeted out and they underestimated how many resources they needed to get everyone to be able to participate without any issues. But reading the thread makes me laugh..
I'm a nobody and I got around 3-4 hours worth of playtime (most of it training mode), only 2 sessions did I get any matches back to back (was around 12PM and after 12AM).

So you're referring specifically to only crouching light attacks into a link? Well Ryu can't do that, but Cammy can. So it's still there, even if it's just one character. But Ryu can just mash out two light attacks, confirm that and continue mashing to get one more light attack and special cancel into DP. It's even more brain dead than SF4.

There are several in that thread and those I know personally from my channel in California that were in training more for 2-4 hours yesterday, and got a huge variety of matches. When I was able to get in, they got in as well. I got paired against Peter once, but after that it was regular players several minutes before access time was. Were they on the Illuminati login too?
edit: I only got in over the span of an hour or two, 1 hr before that and 7 hours after it was errors all day.
