st. mk and cr. mk are my faves. Also, fr. hk into target combo is cool
Are people getting in now? I was getting in more frequently last night but I've only played a total of 2 matches during this whole beta.
Can someone link me to a resource for known combos?
Is it just me or does the combo potential in this game feel less?
Makes sense since damage and stun are heavily increased.
I think I like it, too. Fundamentals, footsies, and matchup knowledge will play more into effect rather then cheap set plays and 1-frame focus attacks combos.
I think Nash will end up being one of the hypest characters. So many possibilities with this teleport

Yeah just tried, the game just kicks me out of the game completely when it tries to log in. I don't get an error message at all now.
It's fantastic, isn't it?I like the game feels kinda like SF3: New generation
Might as well add:
5+ hours of trying
1 hour of training
1 match
Colorado
Oh yes. It wasn't even a contest actually. Dictator has so many options against Ryu right now in this build.Well....did you win the match?
I've had a total of 31 matches.
Day 1: 0
Day 2: 11 wins, 5 losses
Day 3: 13 wins, 2 losses (Birdie day)
Location: Texas

It's fucking glorious, isn't it? Back to old school basic shit. Love it. If Ice Blue Gi Ryu is in this, yeah, back to him I go for the first time since the Snes days. He feels perfect in V, even without the mule kick (still hope he gets it by final release.)
Looking back on the focus attack mechanic is interesting now. I recall when it was first introduced I didn't like how it sounded. It looked like something out of a 3D fighter, and alien to an SF game. It felt like it took over the SF feel too much. Now with SFV dropping it, I feel like yeah, this is more like SF and it was maybe not that great of an idea. I think it was mostly done as a result of coming off SF3 parries, but it probably would have been fine without it. I fell like the V-trigger system works much better in making things interesting while still keeping within the game play spirit of SF. I'll miss the choice of supers though.
lmao my bro came back from vacation, saw the title screen that i left on the TV, got hyped and tried to log in. (he doesn't know anything)

SF5 combos will be all about DAMAGE, not length. And that's great, because DAMAGE wins matches.
Bingo.
Like alpha and SF3 had a baby

"Keep trying. It takes a while to get in."Don't tell him. Let him go through the struggle.
Eh. Is there money in that? We'll see. They have to be planning to add more supers per character, right? Maybe not for a while, but it seems like a no-brainer addition.
But it's nice to have the freedom to style instead of doing max dmg. It can get into your opponent's head when you want to make a statement. Also, maximizing dmg potential for combos was a lot of fun in SF4.
I really think limiting combo systems is going to shorten the lifespan on the game. It limits the amount of freedom of expression for the player, but hopefully it's not as shallow as it feels now.

The game not crashing back to the dashboard every time I try to log in would be a nice change of pace.

It was amazing. I feel bad for all the folks that gave up around that time. It was flawless.Anyone have a link to a Capcom unity update post for today?
Also, 12AM-1AM last night was heaven. We were in, and matchmaking was working.

As far as I'm aware they just said they would be extending it in general with no real specifications yet.
