No cause watched crosscounter tv vids and team spooky vids and not enjoyed them. Somtimes I would enjoy a couple of gootecks videos but for the most part I feel better watching maximillians vids. If this was the launch of the game, sure. That would be completely understandable but it's not. Its the first beta that's going to have more after. I haven't had a one match in 3 days up until this point and slowly but surely I've been getting into the game just like others are.

Does it suck that the servers are fucking up now? Absolutely but I would rather it happened now and them sorting out the situation than this happening on launch day but let me be smug though.

it also won't matter whether the servers are dead or not because you'll be able to play offline and the main menu won't be locked behind a "could not connect to server" error message

it'll say "could not connect to server, please try again later." and you hit x and continue to the main menu

To people asking why we're complaining about falling to get into a stress test -

It's no longer a stress test. Capcom has clearly just gave up and decided to allow select people in for marketing.

We're pissed because this was supposed to be our chance to FINALLY get hands-on of the game we watched for HOURS on E3 streams and various vids.

And now, it's turned into just another glorified marketing campaign. Instead of getting hands on like we were promised, we're suppose to feel privileged that we can watch these big name FGCers play instead.

I love Max, I'm watching his stream right now, and without him, I would never have gotten into fighting games, but I'm still pissed all to hell about this entire situation.

And the worst thing is Capcom is refusing to acknowledge it, acting like the people who can't get in like you or me are in the minority. They're more focused on helping the 1% of fans get more matches than allowing the rest of us the chance to even LOG THE F IN.


BUT HEY THANKS FOR PRE-ORDERING.

Exactly, you even got dudes like Alioune getting in, and I believe he's from France. I don't know how they're doing it, but there's no way they aren't being selective of who get's in.

It sucks, I feel tricked. The beta was a pre-order incentive, and at this point I'm pretty sure I won't even get to experience it. I wish I would have ordered from Amazon instead of PSN, so I could get a refund.

And before anyone says I was going to buy the game anyway, that's true, but I was only getting it for PC. The lure of getting to try the game early is the only reason, I bit the bullet and pre-ordered for PS4 as well.

But whatever people will still defend this mess, regardless of how crap the situation is.

I am sure that they are so sorry that they did not just leave these issues until launch day so that you could get to play the game early.

You seem convinced that I'm pissed off about it not working. Maybe reread what you quoted? I, and a great deal of other people, are pissed because we don't see Capcom working to resolve the fact that barely anyone can get in; on the contrary, Combofiend's blog and the SF twitter seem to be acting like it's working as intended for all of NA.

We're not pissed it's not working, we're pissed they're only focusing on the few who can get in (And among those few who can get in, prominent FGCers are allowed in to stream the game everyone's trying to play, relatively hassle-free)

And do not give some bullshit about pre-ordering.
Very few places charge your card before shipping, so you did not pay jack nor shit.
Many people pre-ordered from the easiest of places and then canceled their pre-order for codes and also to have multiple codes.

Many people preordered right from PSN, too. No refunds there.

And the idea that people preordered this early is BECAUSE OF THIS PHASE ONE BETA. Which so far, is not going to be resolved any time soon.

If you are a FAN or if you are a SUPPORTER of the FGC you would want this game to be the very best that it can be when it is released.

Again, not the issue. This is why on day one, we all accepted the problems and were happy the actual launch wasn't marred by these problems.

If you just want to be one of the first to play it so you can blog on your Facebook about how cool you are, it is not for you.

No, I want to play the game to PLAY THE FUTZING GAME.

More people are getting in, and more will get in and they will continue expanding and they will extend it. They have already confirmed this.

The problem is, Capcom is acting like everything is going according to plan. They seem more focused on this beta LOOKING good (which is why streamers are able to advertise their game without a hitch) than actually WORKING well. And if that's not the case, well, it's certainly not the impression the majority of people are getting.

And THAT'S why most complaints are valid.

That's been my whole thinking with this. Even though it's been frustrating, I've been in enough betas to know shit don't always go smoove. I just hope this situation, they recognize the problems and work hard on the online portion of the game from here on out so we don't go through this come next cycle on the beta and onward. Luckily, they have time on their side
