First Forza Motorsport 6 Direct Feed at 60 fps(Gamersyde)

Honestly, I don't think the last tracks will be too surprising.

I pretty sure we'll get Maple Valley, Suzuka, Tsukuba and Fujimi Kaido.

In Alan's VVV interview with Dan I thought I heard Dan say 10 new tracks to Forza. Unless I mistook that as new from Fm5.
Would be wonderful to get some other ones than the usual cut from the series.

This might be the Xbox's first DX12 title going by what happened at GDC. It looks good. At E3 they showed the game running in triplewide monitors so lets hope it comes to Windows 10. With Cross-Buy of course.

Considering Dan's comments in a recent interview, it seems more plausible that we'll see a new Forza franchise that will be on both Windows 10 and Xbox One.+

Dan basically says that he doesn't see any limits on the platforms they could be developing for or the type of games they could develop, although he clearly said that he is not saying anything is actually happening.

Plus this:

Maybe 2016 could end up being Forza Rallisport on Windows 10 and Xbox One with crossplay and crossbuy?

Visually I'm not all that impressed but that was expected coming from a game that prioritized visuals over performance. It still is going to be the only sim racer I actually enjoy though.

Honest question: Why do you even own an XB1? You seem thoroughly disappointed with almost everything it has to offer Lol.

The 10 new-to-Forza tracks include the 5 announced at E3, (Rio, Brands Hatch, Daytona, Watkins Glen and the renovated Indianapolis), so there are another 5 yet be to revealed.

So they are supposed to be completely new to Forza or heavily renovated?

Nice!

Hopefully we get a re-imagined New York full track.

So I just saw the video.

The car models looks great, as always. As does 60fps. The lighting, though, looks pretty bland. Rain looks okay, though it reminds me of PCars rain. Night races look nice, but the lighting looks a tad off.

Wish I had a gif on hand of The Crew for this.

Every tyre on a circuit course is dynamic for some reason, and driving into them would cause them to hilariously explode outwards in every direction, to the point that you could see them flying from the map camera.

Just spent an hour reading some old thread because I clicked your tag. Holy fuck.

I guess Im the only one that would take 20 FPS if it meant a more beautiful racer.

Forza 5 doesn't get nearly enough credit for how good it looks. I took this last night.

This is no tiny gif either...could make it even bigger, lol.

Forza 6 is going to be incredible in motion on our own big-screens. I remember how much better 5 looked in person once I finally saw it in motion for myself.

Wait, is this real footage to be compared to Forza 6? Forza looks more cartooney

I should've added a :p or /s

To be honest, I did confuse with real life initially, then saw someone else say the same thing a few posts down, then I didn't feel so bad lol.

Me and my brother were talking about it and we honestly came to the conclusion that Forza looks more "cartoony" because of how every car is displayed like they are professionally waxed while in real life you're surrounded by cars that have mostly ever been waxed once in their entire life.

If you go to a high-end car show that's outside you'll see quite a few cars that will look as waxed as they do in Forza. It's also the reason why the cars have a plastic look to them.

Frankly, you can remove the cars from some FM5 screenshots and it'll still look 'cartoonish', 'off', 'artificial' or whatever you want to call it:

I can't tell whether it's due to the lighting, building textures, colour palette or a combination of all of these, but my brain won't be fooled into thinking it's real.

Probably because it is lifeless and the lighting is pretty flat in that picture.

This looks much more vibrant and alive.

You can do that with any racer and it will look "off" or artificial. Reflections in the body paint are the big giveaways since they aren't close to photo-real in any game.

I forgot how good Fujimi was. I hooked up my 360 and gave Forza 5 a spin on Saturday and boy was that ever fun. I need Fujimi in Forza 6. If you don't like the downhill sections of that track I don't even know what to say.

Probably not, because I get the same feeling from most FM shots, whatever the track and lighting conditions.

This looks much more vibrant and alive.
This looks even more cartoonish, IMO.

I'm curious to know how the game would look like during night and rain/wet conditions.
I know that's the setting in FH2 that always gives me the impression the cars have been clumsily photoshopped onto the scenery.

I don't want to derail this thread, though.
FM6 looks much better than FM5, and is quite pleasing to the eye even if it's not realistic.
I just wasn't convinced by your wax argument.

Ok, it wasn't an argument.. but sure bro.

This is a photo I took with a raw potato when the new pit building was being completed (I was quoting for some interior fit-out work there). Looks similar..?

I love that shot for so many reasons.

This looks like a mix of anime and airbrush art. I have a hard time believing this is straight out of photomode, it looks shopped to hell and back tbh.

And while it won't fool anyone into thinking they're looking at a real pic, it also looks gorgeous.

Forza can look many things. Tracks like Rio and Prague look almost Sega arcade stuff, while lighting on other tracks can be almost spot on. I grew to like the style and variety.

I wonder if there will be an 'overcast' skybox for Rio. I bet it would look like a different game altogether.

Dunno if i am getting this. If it was dynamic ToD/Weather, then i'd be quite intrigued but because either MS/Sony are blocking compatibility for a single racing wheel to work on both PS4/XB1, or the manufacturers are doing it. I wont be able to experience this game with a proper steering wheel :/

Kinda sucks but i guess thats how this gen works?

I think I've resigned myself to having to play FM6 with a controller. Hell, I might even play it in chase cam with a bunch of assists on and treat it like an arcade racer...

Well, it looks good but I still find Driveclub better on graphics.

Sure, and I'd stick with DC if those graphics are what you crave for..

FM is about 60fps on a technically inferior console, and sadly whilst they pander way too much to the entitled casual gamer with their silly casual design considerations, they do at least still provide enough of a core experience with good enough graphics that it's actually a joy to drive from a simulation perspective.

I massively like pCars, but even on a GTX970 with decent CPU, it still looks a bit flat and artificial at times, and I get that, the actual race experience is excellent..
