First Forza Motorsport 6 Direct Feed at 60 fps(Gamersyde)

WOW. I wish I could press Y to rewind and change my shorts.

Side note: I don't normally play racing games, but the cars during the rain stuff seem pretty floaty. Maybe it's just me.

Looking good. I wasn't impressed when I saw it at the E3 conference, but that was probably due to the quality of the stream I was watching.

Looks like the generic style of music from F5 is set to return. I hope they will at least add some licensed music as well.

Looks okay, doing a lot, 24 cars and all that but a bit of a dull videogame look. Can't have it all.
This.

I was expecting to be blown away from the reactions I saw on the 1st page but watching the video myself that looks exactly like Forza 5 aliasing and all. It's great that they finally added night racing and rain but overall I was expecting more.

If you think this looks exactly like Forza 5.... well you're wrong.

I don't really know what more you could expect with heavy tire simulation and particle effects at 60fps.

I don't think it's as much as about how it looks compared to others but what it's doing with how it looks.

It wasn't long ago that people on this very board said what it's doing now was completely impossible.

Many people were saying that night and weather in any capacity would require compromising framerate and/or resolution.

Not only did they get weather and night but they even added eight more cars to the field.

I'll gladly trade some image quality for that kind detail in the weather system, the aquaplaning looked great.

The aquaplaning sounds so exhilarating too, I love that T10 pays attention to all the small details.

Seems like it's making the same tradeoffs visually that Forza has always made. Still, the perfect 60fps framerate is like a trademark of the series, and it's impressive that they're sticking to it.

Wouldn't really call aquaplaning a small detail, yeah sure it's not really done in other games but it is kind of the major functionality of puddles!

Surprised people are saying the rain needs work, looked pretty damn good to me.

Night has it's quirks for me though, headlight beams look a little funny when they converge with another car. Also no reflection on the ground from tail lights from what I could tell?

I didn't say best looking, I said most impressive. No other game has 24 cars on track with night or rain at a solid 60fps on console. pCARS comes close but tears and drops a lot. For Forza's circumstance of being on the weaker console and having 24 cars on track, it's insanely impressive that it keeps a locked 60 at 1080p.
I though project cars does more cars? No?

No guys I meant the sound that the tyres make when it hits the water. Aquaplaning physics is obviously a big deal, but I meant that the sound effect sounds so realistic, that's the small detail, that realism that tried to bring in instead of just shoving any water effect at random.

Looks better than 5, whilst doing a lot more.
And it looks pretty great in itself actually.
Those trees really hurt visuals on real life tracks, though.

How does PCARS manager to look better?

It doesn't though ?
I think we pretty much all agreed that PCARS looked worse than even FM5 in a lot of cases

If you put on headphones while watching the trailer in high quality:

You can hear fireworks and a bunch more small details with sounds.

Not to rain on your parade but GT7 is coming. Unless you mean XBO only.

Right... well when we even see it... let alone when it even releases... which is probably realistically years away...

From graphical standpoint just isn't. DC is unbeatable.

Driveclub also has half the cars on track, a way longer dev time and runs at half the framerate.

Not to mention running on better hardware.

That's not even adding the fact that Forza's physics engine is doing way more than Driveclub.

It's very beatable. Especially when you're someone that values what 60fps adds to the experience. And yes, framerate is a component of looks. I also prefer the environments I saw in that video.
