Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

Here's one of the other pics.

Waterside racing. Beautiful! Can't wait to find out more about career mode.

Forza Motorsport 6's weather and night racing aren't dynamic

As I expected :(
Yeah, slightly disappointed I admit, especially after the Amazon.de stuff, but still it's such a huge step up from F5. I really, really hope they don't go with GT route of having a limited selection of rain/night tracks, it definitely stinged me a bit in GT, but I do feel that T10 might have slightly different priorities and will hopefully make it work on all tracks.

EDIT: Am I totally wrong, or could that 3rd shot be Watkins Glen? Would be awesome if so.

Going to be interesting to see how they handle dynamic obstacles, like are they just going to stay there on the track and potentially harm the race or disappear over time. It's actually a bit shame that we might never see the proper way of having marshalls clean it up because generally having people on the track can be a no-go (unless you can just drive through them like ghosts). Really great stuff though.

Watched the ArsTech making of. Graphically, it isn't really blowing me away. They still haven't nailed the lighting or overall level of realism. Maybe they're not even going for it any more. But I will say that the aqua planing thing does actually seem like a cool feature. You get some really deep, gaping wide puddles here and there, that realistically you'll want to completely avoid lol. Shame it's not dynamic time of day either.

You ain't gonna see any kind of revolutions on Xbone hardware.

Purty, was hoping they would show a lot at E3.

I like my Forza to be a main event..lol.

I fully back their choice to keep things in check for a locked 60fps. It's the one thing they need to avoid compromising.

If they could just add a cheap effective AA solution that would help tremendously. Night racing in particular really brought out the jaggies. Presumably because of the high contrast bounce lighting on the vehicle (and track) ridges, spoilers etc.

I think at this point that the visuals are the result of some aesthetic choices and creative direction they decided to pursue. It has a distinct look to it, has been so since FM4. I believe it's a good thing for them, regardless of technical restraints they have to work with.

I loved the large puddle by turn 1 at Brands Hatch.

The helmet visors still look stupid.

That's very disappointing :( I could understand Forza 5 not having dynamic lighting & weather since it was a rushed launch title, but not having it on Forza 6 doesn't make any sense.

It'd take up a pretty huge chunk of budget and dev time for something that wouldn't show itself in the 4-lap races they prioritize anyway. From Turn 10's perspective, it doesn't really make sense for a series centered around 10-minute races yet.

Ouch no dynamic weather/ToD. I kind of had the feeling since they didn't mention it in the trailer when they would have.
