This. I actually feel disappointed. Not about the game, but the lack of time they gave the game to talk about it and actually show game play. I am sure we will get it soon since it is coming out in 3 months, but I really wish they showed gameplay. Again, it is playable at the show and we will get what we want.
I am just hoping we get track listing, at least some of them and more definite information on TOD and Weather. Based on the trailer, it appears that there will be rain falling as we play, which is different that just a wet track.

Looked like Daytona was a new location along with Rio, makes sense given that most of the race cars in the game are from IMSA.

I don't normally agree with you on some things Nib, but damn if you are not 100% right now. That pics looks amazing, but I need actual in-game, player perspective video NOW. Like the did with Forza 5, show me a full lap on whatever is the crown jewel track.
After what I saw of last years showing this is exactly what i was expecting.
Maybe Turn10 were time constrained?

If it leaves debris on track after running off and coming back on, it'll be so far ahead of any other racing game.
Those screenshots look like they've went through a few rounds of Photoshop
I'm sure we'll be able to re-create them in Photomode, but as Hawk said, just give us a lap or two around the crown jewel looking track. Maybe a day to night transition, with a sprinkle of rain or something like that. A single race could theoretically show off a lot of the new features and graphical additions.
MS always does this with Forza. They show a trailer and then give demos and a ton of info to the press later during E3.

That looks better than Horizon 2 and it'll be at 60fps. Holy shit.
I expected to see some actual gameplay as well. But I guess they wont be too far off from their target this time.

True, but I guess I also miss Dan dropping his buzzwords like Driveatar and such. It just seemed very short presentation. I am sure they knew what they are doing being that the game comes out in 3 months and we are getting gameplay later today and even more info as E3 continues.
That second shot just posted above which is the new overhauled Rio looks amazing. I need a video of that exactly like Nib described.

Can you clarify the 24 car multiplayer thing? Is it still the same as FM5 when offline? That's still good by me but it's vague.
Of course it's not gameplay, you don't get that camera nor that DoF in actual gameplay. It does look stunning for a photo mode shot however.
