They could just throw some gauges and ugly pop culture shirts into the mix and keep everything else just by saying he shops at Hot Topic.Get ready for some black leather
But I mean seriously though. I like the DC heroes more in general but uh... did you see the OP? Or their movies lately? Or most of the newer books lately?*eyeroll*

Why do you keep quoting a line about DC's film universe?
I hope Constantine gets a robot suit too.
Im quoting a line from the CEO of WB who is in charge of all aspects of the company from the comics to the films to consumer products. I keep quoting it because it is stupid and shows how WB/DC is still out of touch after all these years.
What happened to Superboy?

And before you come back and say well it has nothing to do with this new Batman. Your right it does not directly have anything to do with it as its something Scott Snyder pitched BUT it has an indirect impact because if the top brass want the DC heroes to be portrayed as edgier and gritty on the screen its going to impact the comics as well just as the Marvel films and comics have a symbiotic relationship. After all there is a reason Bob "I made the 90s EXXTrEEME" Harras was made Editor in Chief of the comics division and why the comics arm is moving to the Hollywood lot so that the higher ups can have tighter oversight.
Mech suits are edgy, like Iron Man and Transformers. Optimus Prime fucking executes that guy.But what does a goofy looking mech suit arch have anything to do with that quote?

Batman with a gun? Da fug
Because it reminds a lot of us of the 90s which was when the characters were at their most edgy which again reminds me of that quote from DC's CEO and Bob Harras being editor in chief.

Is that from a recent run? Can you post a pic of the page of the comic where it happened? He fake killed him and brought in another SUperboy, who is actually the real Superboy.
That's exactly the movie I'm talking aboutYes, I've seen the OP. Where Snyder, an extremely talented writer, says he wants to try something super crazy and out there with a book he's already done exceptional work with.
As for their movies, you mean the movie they put out two years ago, and the two next year which we haven't seen a single frame of footage from yet?
What about the newer books? Yes, I've liked some of them. I haven't liked others. Comics!

I love DOTF, but C'mon son, Man who Laughs? Killing Joke?

Eventually, Jon encounters his future self (the genetic template for Kon-El) in the present—in stasis, dying from illness— and touching it, creates a temporal paradox which, through a lingering psychic connection to Kon-El who remains alive in the distant future, pulls them as well as Superboy Jons and Kons from across the Multiverse as well as other timelines to a pocket universe. The younger Jon teams up with Kon to fight against his older, psychotic self with help from Rose Wilson and Guardian, but find they are massively outmatched by him. The older Jon is even able to use his psionic powers to take control of the minds of the other Superboys, numbering in their hundreds, and siphon the power of a Green Lantern from one of the alternate worlds. The younger Jon heroically sacrifices himself to destroy the elder Jon, obliterating them both through his TK, sending all the other Jons and Kons back to their respective timelines, dimensions and universes. Jon isn't erased from history, and his actions outside of the pocket universe are well remembered, but he is truly gone, leaving Kon-El once again as Superboy.[6]
why won't they leave Superman/Loisand Superboy alone
If it makes everyone feel better we get the REAL Batman filling in for 2 whole months while DC moves their HQ to California:

C'mon P&B, Snyder's & Capullo's run has been great so far. I willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for whatever crazy shit they're up to.Leaving Batman after Morrisons run continues to feel refreshingly correct.
I only read Injustice from DC now for the wackiness and once thats over, I'm out entirely.
I'd like the main big two's comics to get over their mandatory "SHOCK!" cycle at some point in my lifetime as it looks so desperate and pathetic now, it makes me sometimes feel ashamed to associate with comics books. Thankfully theres tons of other excellent amazing stuff out there, but gee whizz do DC and Marvel seem to be spinning the fucking tyres in mud these days.
Yes he isAlso, Greg Capullos art is GOAT:

(The above image is a cover, I don't even have to explain the symbolism, just to avoid a "DC turned Batman into an angel" thread)
I think my decision to stop reading present day marvel and DC comics continues to be a good one.
Gotham By Midnight. It's brilliant. Creepy as hell, with weird, but atmospheric art and great stories.
The problem with Spectre always has been - how to write him long-term when he's bassicaly omnipotent. Here they made horror story with Corrigan as a lead and Spectre is something inside him he fights against, knowing that whenever he fails to control it (and he often does) Spectre will come out and get the job done, but the collateral will be huge.
Great great book. Hope it continues for long time.
yes to this. have az just fucking shit up
