Oh ye of little faith, let me talk about our lord and savior Scott Snyder

Scott Snyder has been 4/4 in his stories, every single one of them has been good at worst.
He humanizes Batman and makes him a really likeable dude, and at the same time goes batshit insane with some amazing plot twists and prep time BS. He has faults here and there, but the stories are absolutely enjoyable.

He wrote Batman kicking the everloving shit of the JL, and it was awesome

My bro hated comics, but he has read and loved every single one of my Snyder Hard Cover Collection

If someone can pull this off, it's him. He has proven himself over and over again.

Also, Greg Capullos art is GOAT:

(The above image is a cover, I don't even have to explain the symbolism, just to avoid a "DC turned Batman into an angel" thread :P)

pretty damn good tbh, this news is alarming and disheartening. snyder's run (I haven't read endgame yet) was so dope straight through to zero year.

End game is excellent. I don't see any reason to doubt what Snyder is doing, the interview pretty obviously states something happens to Bruce and he's probably not the Batman in the picture provided.

I wouldn't expect anything longer than a year, we're not dealing with Superior Spiderman levels of changes I'd think.

Death of the family was alright, in a SAW sort of way.

Death Of The Family ended by revealing that Bruce Wayne willingly revealed his identity to an unstable, unpredictable psychopath years earlier for no reason other than shits and giggles, endangering not only himself, but the children that he cares for, and he never told that incredibly vital information to any of them, also for no reason.

It's almost offensively stupid, and the only way I can understand people that defend the story is that if they forgot that happened.

Batman's killing Joker and retiring, prolly.

All those Batmen, Batwomen, Bat side shows comics...where is my damn Jean Paul Valley DC?!!!!!

At least they managed to sneak in amazing Spectre series under disguise of another Batman-related book :D

DC should really just go back to being called Detective Comics at this point.

Could be, a lot of crazy stuff has gone down the last issue. Bat#39
Alfred got his hand chopped off :(

They're having a convergence title with JPV vs Batman. I think it's Shadow of the Bats.

yea I find his stuff really boring. Im struggling to get through death in the family right now

This looks interesting though but why didn't he just bring back the real deal:

latest

yes to this. have az just fucking shit up

Well..at least they're bringing back Hellblazer, at least partially that is.
That said, for all the obsession DC has with Batfamily, it actually finally started to work in their favor. Lots of excellent series managed to use Batman's popularity to stay afloat and allowed it's creators a lot of move to experiment. Besides Gotham by Midnight stuff like Harley Quinn, Grayson, Arkham Academy or Batgirl has been just plain great.

I think I'm one of the five or so people who doesn't really like Snyder's Batman (outside of The Black Mirror anyways), so I'll give this a shot. Seems like it'll be interesting at the very least, hopefully it's really out there.

If he didn't have the shit suit he would probably still exist in continuity.

Yeah. The two original suits are pretty great (his and his fahters), but then the Bat armor and that bizzare crap they put him in later on..jeez... I guess since Quesada runs Marvel they didn't want to use his designs anymore?

Yep. The blue and red lights on the back of the suit look somewhat like a police siren so maybe new Batman is a cop using Waynetech-donated armor.

The cover for #40 I poster above really makes me think this is the case,

Or maybe Joker will kill himself a la Arkham City, still,we can finally put the Immortal shit to rest

Yeah. There were some growing pains, but New 52 produced a big number of stunning series.

Yep. DC has been pretty awesome lately. A bunch of the new books coming out post-Convergence, like Starfire and Black Canary, sound awesome and they've been publishing some great ongoings like Grayson and Gotham Academy that don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon at least.

Definitely, it won't be perma death for joker but if they can retire him for atleast half a decade and create some new villains I wouldn't be upset. I liked how Snyder talked about going back to the spirit of Court of the Owls.
