Shitty games that your dumb ass paid full price for

Ok, I'm going to go this but Step & Roll. If I played with the balance board, I'd never finish it on time. If I played with the WiiMote, what's their solution to make things harder? HAVE A BUNCH OF TOTEMS EVERYWHERE!

I ended up playing through the game using my hands on the Balance Board. It was sad.

Of all the sad stories in this thread, this is the saddest image.

I also just remembered I paid full price for Yoshi Touch and Go, which should've been a five dollar downloadable game or free demo. Fuck.

What a total let-down this game was.

Jaw-droppingly lame in all categories.

My car actually broke down on the way to the mall to get it and I had to ride back home in the tow truck cab toting this piece of shit.

The tow fee was $235 [I broke down an hour and 20 minutes from home] and then I played the game.

Bad day all around. The game is so bad that the car break-down and tow fee were not even the worst part of my day - it was this game!

I also bought this game.. but the SNES version. If I remember right player one could only be one robot

FFXIV on release. I bought a new graphics card for it, which was good because it got me back into PC gaming. Unfortunately the game to get me to do it was absolute ass.

It always shocks me what people consider "shitty" games. I wasn't the biggest fan of Infamous: SS or Shadows of Mordor but I wouldn't call them garbage, horrible, or shitty. Disappointing sure, but to outright say they are some of the worst games you have played is bizarre or you haven't played a lot of bad games.

The only game I can think of over the years would have to be Haze. Just incredibly disappointing.

Assassin's Creed 3
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Killzone: Shadow Fall

It wasn't a terrible game, but I feel stupid for buying Injustice full price at release, rather than waiting for the complete version less than a year later.

Oh, and though I liked the game, I wouldn't have wanted to pay $60 for inFamous: Second Son. Just not enough to it.

Day Z stand alone

"Oh it will be 60 bucks when its officially released? Better get it now while its still 30!"

Lol wtf was I thinking. Those bastards will never finish making that shitty game. If they really price it at 60 once is out of early access, ill feel so bad for anyone who buys that sorry excuse of dog shit.

To this day, my character is stuck inside the floor of a building and I can not get out. Cant move, cant die, hes just stuck. Not to mention it runs like complete dog shit.

What a waste of 30 dollars.

Saints Row the Third. It was just a massive disappointment in every way possible. A major step backwards from Saints Row 2 and a major letdown in the series.

I tend to avoid full price so I'll go with day 1.

Rhythm Heaven/Paradise on DS. I liked and imported the GBA game so what could possibly go wrong with this game? The controls stank. I couldn't get them to work which just lead to the game being frustration.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. I got the game 3 days late, thats a good start but what a bland Fire Emblem game and I'm not really someone who plays for the story or characters.

I know that is pretty tame for this thread but those two are the lowpoints of their respective franchises

That sounds absolutely awful in pretty much every way possible. I'm glad I never heard of it (somehow) as I had an OG Xbox too, so would of bought it for sure.

I know I could Google it in 2 seconds, but did Shinji Mikami have any involvement? Surely not.

No, Shinji didn't have any involvement, though he also wasn't involved in DC2. It had the same producer as DC2, which was Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Surprising considering not only how well (if not a bit convoluted) Dino Crisis 2 came out, but also being heavily involved with Dino Crisis and all the main line RE games up to that point except Nemesis.

The directors haven't been involved afaik to any other projects before or since.

Oddly enough, it's surprising how garbage the story came out when the writer was Noboru Sugimura aka the lead writer for Resident Evil 2.

Two Worlds 1 when it came to 360. I was starved for an open world RPG. I thought the reviews were off with their low scores. What a dumb ass I was.

FFXIV collector's edition. :(
So bad... so impossibly bad.

Dragon age inquisition. I kept trying to convince myself that i was having fun and realized ten hours in that i was lying to myself.

I was like, "I don't have one of these! I love everything on my shelf!"

And then I remember my digital regret from last year. WildStar. I got three friends to go in with me on this shit and we were all done before we got to level 22.

I guess you can't have a perfect win record. :/

Wow, the same producer as 2? That's one hell of a downfall.

I'm definitely glad Shinji wasn't involved, as Resident Evil 4 was only a few years after. I'm sure DC3 wouldn't have been as rotten as it ended up being if he had been involved? But who knows, speculation.

I still pray for a current gen Dino Crisis reboot with Shinji as the director. I'd be very happy indeed.

Thanks for the info, appreciated.

Dragon Age 2, physical release day.
I don't even know why I did that, Im not really a big fan of 1 (more because I only tried it from a friend, than really playing it). Maybe it was because I was hyped by Mass Effect 3 or something and wanted to play another Bioware game.

Got to the long ass mine dungeon, beat it, discovered someone was dead becuase of a silly choice, I was already not feeling the game as it was repetitive as hell and said fuck it.

Akiba's Trip. End of thread.

Ugh, I hate when people say end of thread or some similar thing like that.
There are much worse games than Akiba's trip mentioned through the whole thread.
I liked the game, although I bought it 50% off. I think I did the right choice.

Nagano Winter Olympics (N64)

I even *knew* it was shit thanks to the N64 Magazine review, but so desperate was I to play anything new I disregarded their sage advice and paid the UK electrical retailer (Currys or Comet) premium of £60. I then played all of five minutes of it and probably sold it for a massive loss soon after.

Fucking. Idiot.

Destiny is the only game that I really felt bad about. It came out at the perfect time when there wasn't much competition, so I bit despite knowing the disappointment ahead.

Sometimes I can't sleep at night knowing that I supported a game that was designed to mentally break me down into an addiction. Rough times, but I'll be strong. Don't think I'll be supporting the next Bungie game day one.

Final Fantasy XIII-2. At least the combat in XIII wasn't broken, XIII-2 was bad in every single way possible. You won't fool me again Squeenix.

Definitely this game, it was so disappointing to find out it only had 8 characters. Got boring really quick.

Only game I've traded in within an hour of completing it. So much good work wasted on a nonsensical plot and bad gameplay mechanics. Go to hell Cole
...He's already there.

I also bought Brink at full price, but I had enough fun with it that I didn't really regret buying it at release. Though I certainly don't begrudge anyone's hatred towards that game, it was a very acquired taste.

L.A. Noire - Not shitty, just really, really underwhelming and not worth full price

Assassin's Creed 3 - I even got a t-shirt with the game for buying day one, lol

Hey You Pikachu.....

Man that one hurt...I was almost 17. But I waned to learn to speak English. In my mind the purchase made sense since I could use the game to practice my enunciation.
L.O.L

Oh yeah I didnt rememebr of this atrocity:

Have fun building like 6 rides and 20 theming objects in one park, becuase thats the only thing you can build at max!

Im not fucking kidding, theres like a bar that fills everytime you add something. And it takes like 20-30 things to make that bar full.
Why would I want to put a fucking shrub or theming thing if I need that "space" for a bin or shop?
Terrible, absolutely terrible.
