Well, I've resolved that these servers are handling the load just fine only that there are not enough of them to keep up with the demand. Since the sale started less than 4 hours ago, the API servers have received connection requests from over 550,000 unique addresses. Over a half million people have used (or tried to use) Enhanced Steam in the last 3 1/2 hours. That's pretty insane and certainly not anticipated.

well, he's played it before. Typical first time playthrough is anywhere between 60-120 minutes, and then there's the bonus mission you can do to bring into TPP. so it's not that bad if you pick it up for $10 or so.

Some quick impressions on the Outcast 1.1 release:
If you have an i5, don't choose 1080p, performance isn't pretty good and there are graphical glitches.
720p works fine and looks really good (taking into account that the game is from '99)
The new launcher is pretty good, you can rebind everything (though some inputs aren't accepted, like trying to bind middle mouse button to pull out the gun)
There's also an option to skip the intro video (which was really good for the time, not so good now)
Steam overlay doesn't work right now but the dev is looking into it. If you are running Windows 8.1 make sure to put both exes in compatibility mode with Win 8.
Something very important, this isn't a remake or reboot, it's the same game with support for higher resolutions and a new launcher (I've seen people expecting big graphical upgrades and then feeling disappointed over the final result)

I thought they ended up dropping the price to $30 on PS4/XBO before it launched (it was $20 on PS3/360).

Jesus it's obvious as fuck that the B team did DS2.
At the lava boss all good, not too hard. But oh that lava blast from his hand can clip through the wall. Like all the way through. No effect to make it look like it's supposed to it just goes through.
Also was enemies that stop spawning a thing in DS1? I don't remember that at all.

For those that use Enhanced Steam but haven't tried Idle Master because they think the setup is too hard:
clicking will give you this menu:
There will be another menu that will pop up when you click "generate settings file" that will ask what type of idle sorting you'd like. Hopefully I'll be able to make it works so that once that's done it will just download your settings.txt which you can copy into your Idle Master directory and you're good to go.

Judging from responses in the Ground Zeroes thread, AMD needs to update some drivers. Performance doesn't seem horrible, mind you, but lagging a bit behind Nvidia (which isn't surprising).

the nighttime stuff looks terrific, but it loses it's graphic punch when you play daytime missions. Still, one of the best looking games i've ever played.
Nice giveaway. Since the DLC is still not on sale, I think I'll pass on the DS2 PC version for now. I already beat the main game on PS3, so the main reason for picking up the PC version would be to play the DLC.
That sucks. In the US they actually dropped it to $30. It's terrible that developers are still employing the Euro tax.

DualShock4 is an amazing gamepad.
Very easy to setup, everything seems to be responsive, buttons aren't clicky, triggers don't require much force, D-pad is as great as was in DS2.
Still keeping DS2 near the computer, whenever my buddy comes over to play PES, but yea... Definitely switching over.
Solid first day, MGRR deal is amazing. Hoping for strong 2nd round of flashes.

Do you know how easy it is to switch the ds4 from being paired to the PC and to a PS4?
I've tried using an xbox one controller for both x one and PC, but every time I want to use it on the x one again, I have to plug it into the xbox via usb for it to work again. I want to use one controller and not have to get off of my ass.
