DeDeDe is mystifying to me. How do you beat a good DeDeDe? Sometimes I can't even get a single goddamn hit. It's like his grab has twice the reach of any other character. So frustrating.

Tip for everyone: if you want to know how to beat a character, explain how they are beating you.

I found Dedede manageable once I discovered that I can punch his projectiles back at him.

Happened to mine too (is yours a Pikachu edition?). I can't find the circle pad to even glue back lol. I can still use it to play but man, it really hurts on the thumb after a while.

How so? I haven't played that many Falcos, but the ones I have haven't countered him at all, and I can't think of anything in his toolset that really hurts Mac much.

Anyone that can-- escape pressure, play keep away with Mac, possess a good meteor smash, has decent speed, quick high jumps, good grabs, force Mac to jump, is good off stage, and a move that Mac cannot land his counter on (Falco's forward B) is gonna be a problem for him. I am not that good of a Falco, but my brother is. I think he's been faring well against them.

Dedede is one of my mains, and any decent projectile user completely shuts him down. As long as you keep your distance, you should be fine. He's not as good as he was in Brawl. :/

Been experimenting with him on For Glory the whole day, and I just love everything about him in this game. Soo fun to play and so much options.

It's funny because I don't even like the character and I have a love-hate relationship with Yoshi's Island. Guess it's just me letting out my frustrations from that game with this character.

I try to pick normal Yoshi's Island, regular Battlefield, and Lumiose sometimes outside of the FD stages. There aren't that many good stages unfortunately.

No air game and no recovery. A good idea is always to punish him when he messes up and to grab him and send him off the stage. Oh and platforms, but I'm kinda used to them by now lol

So far you have the best Mac out there that I have experienced. I have never lost like that to anyone else with Palutena.

I just learned what this was yesterday. For a little while I thought maybe lots of characters just had a counter I didn't now about.
