Correct. Nobody else online knows how many they contain except gold is more than silver which is more than bronze. I might say on the results screen as the end of the final battle of Smash Run (if you scroll over them)

Thing to remember about smash run is only the last 10 things you picked up count so collect coins to start with but as soon as you get a ? bag a gear bag or trophy stop getting the coins.

I hate how the news smash constantly covers up what you've picked up.

Thanks. Also nice to know about that 10 item limit. Didn't really notice that yet.

But she's been around since the first Metroid.

Yeah, it is an odd thing because it has been around for many games. I guess because Zero Mission was the first game you were legit playable as ZSS?

I'm guessing the split was made when the specific suit itself got introduced; seeing as other aspects such as the Paralyzer and crawling were also sourced from Zero Mission. That kind of specificity seems to matter to them, otherwise Dark Pit would be a 1991 character.

Well that's dumb. That's like saying Mario is from 1985 and Donkey Kong is from 1994. And was there a Dark Pit in the original Kid Icarus? I never finished it.

Anybody up for some online 1v1?

I'm down to try some more Shulkin'

And the worst thing is - you cannot see it in the menu which characters haven't actually won yet. So I'm refraining myself from playing any multiplayer Smash Run before I got first with every character. Then I can just play for fun v.v

No way!
Damn I've probably lost a lot of good stuff because I didn't notice this :(

I actually wondered if that's the case but from playing felt like it's not actually true. So I actually thought it just doesn't display more. I'd like to see either theory confirmed though.

My biggest issue with Smashruns is the fact that (almost) every yet so little piece of shit attack knocks you back some amount. That's just incredible frustrating to play against because if there's a bunch of shit on screen you often cannot do much against it. Especially some of those ranged attacks (that's aurora/frost beam from that one Pokemon, holy shit).

I wish there was some kind of damage threshold that has to be reached for attacks to knock you back. Currently my most successful way of playing this mode is with a Mac that got high +damage equipment and for items you use further power ups (for melee attacks or the 300% damage thing for example) and use those in combination with the armor that prevents you from getting knocked back. That's a pretty easy guarantee to kill even the toughest monsters, that are otherwise somewhat impossible to tackle with a melee char like Mac.

There is a way I found out
It is in your records, Smash Run < Victories
If you got a 1, then the character got 1st at one time.

Still though, I agree that it is stupid there is no stat in the actual Smash Run menu.

Maybe I've missed something, but whenever I enable custom moves and click random, we always start with items ? Anyone know how I stop that? Spawning with a ray gun is ridiculous

edit: now it is sometimes happening - maybe random is controlling more rules than I've unlocked in additional rules?

Horizontal Laser Level 4 is your friend.

Sounds to me like you're getting equipment pieces that makes you start holding an item.

Is it me, or does random just not work right with alt colors?

In previous games, random picked a random character and then a random color. Generally every round would be a new character and a new color. This time it seems really lop sided towards the default colors. In a match with 4 players all on random, I'm finding it hard to see more than 1 alternate color used, sometimes no alternate colors used at all.

I wonder why the bias towards default colors?

Also in my testing, Miis never came up in random... oh well. They could have just had Mii in the pool and had it pick a random Mii if "Mii" came up as the random choice...

Does anyone know if this games saves to the cart itself or the SD card?

Recently, a few games seem to save to the SD card (e.g. Fantasy Life) which is handy as my wife and I don't have to about effecting each others progress when playing the same cart on different 3DS systems.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone with the game knew as I cannot seem to find out online.

I think only certain things like replays, screenshots, and custom characters are saved to the SD.

thought so too, but none are equipped - could it be drawing from all my equipment even if its not actually on a load out?

I was under the impression that random would pick random moves and equipment and not one of the loadouts, but I haven't actually tested it.

I also did some experimenting last night on Olimar and could not, for the life of me, figure out the following
1. How to get bud and flower Pikmin. I thought it was timed, so I waited for like 1 minute and got no change in my Pikmin. Then I thought maybe it had some kind of experience system, so I had a Pikmin attack an enemy for awhile and still that didn't do it... so I'm stumped.

2. How to grab items with Pikmin. My obvious thought was to chuck them with side-b at an item and they'd happily grab it, but I couldn't get that to work consistently at all. I think maybe them grabbing items is entirely random, since it only happened every so often (very rarely in fact)

GGs random25, I was fuckin up my arts so bad lol. Shulk is so slow that I can't tell if there's input delay or not.

EDIT Oh nevermind lego!

On Green Hill Zone in the background there's this swinging log moving at like 5 frames per second. It's incredibly jarring and distracting.

I would have honestly preferred them to just remove it. I doubt anyone would have noticed, but now it's pretty noticeable.

Also I found out via Google that Pikmin can't be flowers on the 3DS! What the heck!? I spent so long experimenting trying to get them to flower since all the art and trophies of them show them with flowers :(
I kind of have the feeling Olimar would have been cut had he not been such an important Nintendo character...

So correct me if I'm wrong: you can't have custom moves turned on but have equipment turned off? So if I wanted to play with custom moves, but not equipment (and click random instead of using a loadout) , I would effectively have to delete every piece of equipment that I've owned?

You just have to not put equipment on that custom build.

Right, I can just not put equipment in loadouts. But if you click random, it appears that any piece of equipment can be applied. Even if it hasn't been put on a loadout.

Oh, sorry, I absolutely missed that part of your post.

Yeah, guess so. :(

I wish equipment wasn't lumped into customization on the same level that custom moves and Miis are.

yeah that's a big disappointment for me - I love playing random in smash, and the thought of being able to click random with custom moves was what I was looking forward to the most. Guess I could delete every piece of equipment, but that would hamper my smash/classic runs.

I really dislike equipment.

So, I played a Villager last night and definitely understand how much of a little bastard that character can be now. I thought his forward smash was bad. It's not. Tree guarding? Deadly. I had a lot of trouble. Really loving how I'm being consistently surprised with every character.

Are you sure about that?

In an earlier post you said you almost always start with items, do you really have so many pieces of equipment that grant them?

I have 100-200 pieces of equipment and maybe 4 of them give items, so I don't see how you would start with them so often.

I've tried and tried again but I cannot play random online. Way too laggy but playing with people on my friends list on the other side of the country is perfectly fine. Goddammit.

the problem is, I dont have all that much equipment for some characters. So when I randomly draw jiggly and there is a start with lips stick, I'll probably get it. I had two matches in a row where my opponent and I started with ray guns .

regardless, its not just the item equipment I want gone - it's all of it . When I click random I don't want to have a super slow heavy hitting character just because of equipment. I just want custom moves.

I know its specific, but in my mind equipment is totally different than movesets. It could at least just draw from loadouts.
