Wait are all these records in feet or meters?

Because that ZSS and Dr Mario one are actually shorter than mine if converted to meters. Both coming in at 682m and 721m.

My game is in Meters.

Ooohhhh, okay. My game is in feet.

Either way, I just got 4470.8 with Ganondorf. Who knew that the Reverse Warlock Punch was stronger than the Home Run Bat in the Home Run Contest?

Oh lord I love you Wii Fit Trainer! Thank you for making me reach 200000 in Target Smash in a single character!

Anyway, if you turn off customization off but picked a certain Mii, will they retain the moves you picked for them, or will they default to moveset 1?

Yeah i was surprised with that as well lol, will probably go and redo quite a few attempts for other characters to see who else is better without the bat but i doubt any of them will touch Ganon's current record in my game of 1706m/5597ft.

Any significant team records online yet?

I think Miis only pop up when customisations turned on.

Nah they are there and you can pick a Mii. Lemme test about the customization.

EDIT: Sweet! Even with customization off, your Mii will still use the selected moves you give to them!

Seems like only Palutena is "nerfed" in this way.

I managed to get 700k+ with Palutena by sheer luck wiping the stage twice in a row. It's a one of one million thing. I'll never ever be able to reproduce that, but I saved a replay.

Speaking of Final Smashes, I thought Lucario's Mega Evolved form would be cool. But nope. I swear the transformation to and from Mega form is longer than the chance to play Mega Lucario. And even then you can't wreck up shit as easily as Giga Bowser and Giga Mac.

The trick to Target Smash seems to be
aiming for the top left bomb block, I've seen a video where someone places the bomb next to it (but doesn't set off the block...I always set it off) and winds up getting a perfect clear (which weirdly enough doesn't need all the targets to be smashed). I guess if the bomb explodes once it passes that bomb block could also work

Yikes, that is some impressive stuff.

Shulk's nair and fair beat pretty much everthing if timed correctly damn. He's got bad quirks about him, but he's also got awesome potential. He's like a game in itself, so fun. I'm doin pretty good with him the more I get the hang of his Mondado arts.

Have to see how well he can stand up to certain characters like Little Mac though...

One question and some things i noticed while playing for over a week now:

What are the bronzen, silver and golden smash symbols i'm collecting in Smash Run? I suppose they are different amounts of coins?! It's sadly never explainedor shown anywhere and i'm unsure about their meaning.

I never thought i'd like the Mii fighters that much. They offer great variety in their custom specials and i like all three types. My brawler especially just kicks ass with those fast and flashy combo specials. Not talking about competitive play here, they are just really fun to play in my opinion.

I also never thought i'd like Smash Run that much. For me it's a perfect mode for a quick single player experience. It's kind of a classic 2D Brawler action against diverse enemy types with a nice focus on upgrading your character and then some special event at the end to keep things fresh (yes, i like the randomness). It's a perfect 5 minute experience on the run and really helped me to get to know each character's moveset and unique traits without having to concentrate on making points in a rather hectic match-up before even knowing what my char can do. It's what i liked about SSE in Brawl without the negative points.

I also like most of the changes they did to existing characters. I'm no expert in this, but whatever they did to Sonic, i can control him MUCH better than in Brawl. Same goes for Wario (i even like his changed moves), Olimar and DeDeDe. Can't exactly put my finger on it, but i really like using these characters now compared to Brawl. All other changes with, Bowser, Link etc. are also really welcomed.

The voices: It seems most of the american players here are not that happy with most of the changes. I personally really like the Fox voice. I'm happy that we got Pit in his Uprising style, so much personality now in the character. I didn't notice Shulks or Daraens (Robins) voice to be much different from the trailers and am really happy about their performance.
The German version gives Wii Fit trainer their original voices, they had in the German Wii Fit versions, so i really like the resemblance here. And they finally gave Sonic his German voice (from various recent games and old TV shows) and it is just awesome to hear this voice when attacking ^_^ (i don't miss his "Too slow" taunt, it was awful).
The German announcer seems to be the same from Brawl, although his performance is way better than on the Wii in my opinion. I like that they recorded different announcements for the skins of Bowser Jr., Olimar and even both genders of Villager and Trainer in German (Bewohner/ Bewohnerin, Trainer/Trainerin).

All in all i'm really positively suprised by many small things and changes.

So Smash Bros can only load the save if you have the version of the game (or newer) that game was saved as. I tried on a spare 3DS the doesn't have the v1.0.2 update and got some messages telling me the save couldn't be loaded, I activated streetpass and left (as that is all I was using it for) in case it did anything to my existing save. Maybe someone finds that interesting.

Correct. Nobody else online knows how many they contain except gold is more than silver which is more than bronze. I might say on the results screen as the end of the final battle of Smash Run (if you scroll over them)

Thing to remember about smash run is only the last 10 things you picked up count so collect coins to start with but as soon as you get a ? bag a gear bag or trophy stop getting the coins.

I hate how the news smash constantly covers up what you've picked up.

That is dumb. I guess due to memory they cannot track more than 10 items?

I just knew Ganondorf(Da Best)was going to be last XD.

Woah wut? That's crazy.

Wait what....UGH!!!!! Should have noticed this sooner lol.

This is my biggest problem about Smash Run.
For the "Complete Smash Run with # characters" challenges, do I need to win?
You don't need to win for that challenge, but there is a challenge that requires placing first in Smash Run with all characters.

Man I got the pattern down for everyone, but the stupid swords. Every time I roll away it feels like it is still able to slash me. Also I air dodge too early for the delayed slash that it sends horizontally across the stage, that's one issue I know I made last time I fought it. But yeah slowly learning the pattern its just aggravating spending coins and then losing to a dumb sword.

I am pretty much only good with Yoshi at the moment. But I'll try out Fox cause I think I could beat the first five battles and make it to master hand by that point.

Yeah I learned using the shield the hard way. It broke my shield and then KO'd me in one fell swoop. But even when I roll it feels like the smaller swords still hit me and then the big sword finally smashes me away and kills me. Also I don't use badges, I wanna beat that crazy fucker the old fashioned way. Hopefully I'll be able to do it.

Also thank you all for the advice it really helps :)

Try side step dodge. I always use it and it work very well. ( hold down when you press shield)

For the "Complete Smash Run with # characters" challenges, do I need to win?
I think not, but there is another challenge that states "Get first with all characters" so eventually you have to.
Why is ZSS in the 2000-2008 section in all star? When does Sakurai think she was born?
I am guessing since her first appearance is in Metroid Fusion.
The thing that irks me about All-Star mode is the Gamecube era has Bowser Jr. and Olimar which I get. However, the game decides to use alts and sometimes the Kooplings and Alph show up which is not during 2000-2008.

2004.

It's likely for the same reason Sheik, Dr. Mario, Ganondorf and Toon Link have separate groupings from their counterparts - a later derivative of an existing character is categorised as a new character.

Does anyone know if this games saves to the cart itself or the SD card?

Recently, a few games seem to save to the SD card (e.g. Fantasy Life) which is handy as my wife and I don't have to about effecting each others progress when playing the same cart on different 3DS systems.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone with the game knew as I cannot seem to find out online.

No way!
Damn I've probably lost a lot of good stuff because I didn't notice this :(

But she's been around since the first Metroid.
