Good games! Sorry, I had to bail a little early. An irl friend of mine wants to play too, so I'm gonna try to also squeeze that in before bed.

Mega Man's grab is better than I gave it credit for. Well that, and I think you're just really aware of the opportunities.

Definitely some intense games there! I can really appreciate your ledge game, it's something I haven't figured out how to do much with with Mega Man. That's a great Sheik you're running! I'm looking forward to playing you again!

I'll play you again. No way to get better than to play people above my skill level :P And my circle pad fixed itself in a couple minutes.
 
When chasing people offstage, it's not a bad idea to throw on the Jump Art, as that makes recovery a heck of a lot easier. Even without it, though, Air Slash gives you a good amount of vertical distance, and the two slashes Shulk does are effective at stopping edgeguarding. Also, when chasing offstage, remember that Shulk's forward and neutral airs cover a lot of space, so you don't have to get right up next to your opponent to land a hit. That means you can stay a lot closer to the stage when you venture out there.
Yeah, that would be the best moment to use the jump art I guess. I'm not used to swap quickly and stop at the right one while doing something else yet.
There's something to be said about switching to the smash art just before landing a good hit on a heavy weight coming back to the stage after a failed attempt to ko him too ahah

I got my ass thoroughly thrashed by what seemed to be a pretty good ZSS though. gotta figure out something against those agile characters
 
Even though All-Star doesn't use Omega Mode, I noticed WarioWare WON'T activate any mini-games, guess because they can cause "item effects".

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think the Dark Lord in Find Mii will use his powers to chance character stats either, and when I played Golden Plains, it didn't seem I could pick up coins (although my opponents could, but they never went Gold iirc).
 
wait what's this dodge cancel roll wtv stuff?

You press in this order:

Forward->Shield->Grab

If you do it quickly enough, you will cancel the shield and hear the ping effect of the roll but will do a grab with larger range.

He's not that bad in a stage that's not FD. I was having some matches at school with someone and Mac was useless in Battlefield. Jump into a platform and he has to do the same, which leaves him open.

That's all most tourneys are going to be playing on.

His recovered is fucking insane. I'm playing pac and I hit him with my forward A and he can attack me again before my animation is finished. He recovered from my attack BEFORE I DID.

Still trying to get better with all of them though by playing a shit ton of 1v1 matches. Pretty bad right now.

Find Mii shows up in All-Star? It's odd that I've gone through it 36 times and never seen it.
 
I did not know Bowser could autocancel some of his shorthop aerials lol. If you do them sort of in place there will be some landing lag, but if you hold forward/back while doing forward air or back air there will be very little landing lag.

Yeah, Smash is usually my go-to art when I'm chasing someone offstage. Jump is really a backup, and, of course, it's useless if you've already used both jumps in chasing your opponent. The best advice I have is, again, remember that you have a couple long-ranged aerials, so you don't have to jump too far offstage.

Faster characters are pretty tough to deal with. Throwing on Speed and Jump can help compensate, but it does reduce your damage output. The number one thing to remember against fast characters is that a lot of Shulk's attacks are long, arcing swings which cover 270+ degrees. Neutral air, forward air, up tilt, forward tilt, dash attack, and down smash have pretty good range, which means you can tag those nimble characters as they're trying to escape. Be careful of the endlag on the down smash, though.

Mac's running A is a smash that he can recover from instantly - into a fA that is a smash combo with super armor.

Fuck. Mac.

I can't seem to get the positioning right on them. Do you have a video to help me out?

This is second-hand info so I can't really confirm it myself. Haven't done All Star Mode a whole lot.

And yeah, trees on Tortimer Island grow fruit, some edible, some throwable, like Green Greens's apples.

I'm going through it now and am on Magicant and you're right. No Flying Man, Wario Ware had no minigames...so the hazardless versions already fucking exist. :|

This is as dumb as Smash Run having modes like stamina but not letting you select it.
