Geez, took me 4 tries for 9.0 Classic; I guess I suck now.
I can't remember how hard it was for intense Boss Rush.
 
Some amazing matches tonight. I ran into some chivalrous people in For Glory who deliberately self-destructed to even the score when I fudged a recovery. But when I did the same for them, they killed themselves and gave me the match. Such honor, and they weren't even Japanese!

I also encountered a Yoshi who playfully hid inside his egg. I made Zero Suit crawl up to him, as though inspecting the egg about to hatch, lol.

On the less admirable side, there was an Ike who (quite nearly literally) did just three attacks: up special, side special and counter. This actually confounded me for a bit, because he used all three with no downtime. Really fast and aggressive! I then cracked the code when I started stunning him with Zero Suit's Paralyzer, causing him to flinch out of his shenanigans.

Man, this game. <3
 
ya'll are facing the Little Macs who've been playing this game for 4 days. Wait till you fight the ones who've been playing it for 3 and a half weeks.

Little Mac was without a doubt the #1 character I was most looking forward to. I absolutely love Punch-Out and seeing him make it in the game made me really happy. And a lot of people in my area aren't all that familiar with Punch-Out so they weren't too interested in Little Mac. Plus they kept saying he'd suck because of his terrible recovery and air game. I thought I'd be one of the few people to actually play him and show that he can be a good character.........but, it looks like eeeeeeverybody's playing him now too. I can no longer proudly say "Hey, I play with Little Mac." because people are just gonna say "Yeah, so does everyone in the world." Now I don't feel as special... :(

Nah I'm down for more games if you are! Jr's still in for fun right now. Shulk seems so hard to use.
 
Is there an actual matchmaking system of any kind in for glory? Because I keep getting put against players that are way too good for me.

I have a 14% win rate atm...

Try Megaman. He absolutely destroys master core with neutral b and stuff. I didn't even lose a stock. He's also the only one i completed Classis 9.0 with :/. For the rest, just learn the timing i guess. All the attacks are fairly predictable.(except that damm blade form instaslash)

Any customize power-ups?
 
Was playing some guy on for glory, we were pretty evenly matched for a while....then he switched to Yoshi.

Oh my word I was getting pummelled. Like only doing him 10% damage over two stocks pummelled. He had the kind of air game I'd expect from someone who played competitively. I kept thinking, how in the world is he so much better with Yoshi than these other characters.

Of course it turns out he was a different guy, and as usual I hadn't noticed it had changed to a different person.

But anyway, sick yoshi, hands down best player I've come across
 
I tore shit up in For Glory last night.

I still hate how a lot of the newcomers have counters. The fuck is up with that?
 
One day, my For Fun matches won't be plagued by Bowsers who spam down special and forward smash.

That day may take a while yet to come.
 
I came across the worst type of Mario player in For Fun. Just stood near the edge of a flat stage and threw people towards the edge for immediate KO.
 
Just had the most intense fights online in 1on1. This guy was like a ghost, his dodging ability was amazing. Our Little Mac vs Zero suit Samus was crazy intense. And our Little Mac vs Little Mac fights were a complete blur. Had a lot of fun.

Edit: Oh yeah and his Mega Man destroyed my Little Mac like it was nothing. Really pissed me off I could barley land a hit.
 
GGs Monster Zero, you're G&W is so hard to fight. WTF with the wind on the down B?! That was messin with my head so much haha. But yeah gotta get a break.

Edit : Lol key for life. If I keep playin him he might be my new main.
 
So what is dodging in this game and how does it work? If I shield in the air during recovery it seems to do something. Also, some people seem able to dodge throw attempts.

little mac is the easy button. I usually just switch over to DeDeDe, Bowser, and Donkey Kong. They shut Little Mac right the fuck down and then I get to watch the scrubs back out of For Glory mode to find someone else to fight within 1 match, 2 tops

Well, all clones were supposedly to be alt costume. When they had enough time to add clone characters, so they went ahead and turn alt costumes into playable characters. I presume that Dark Pit's very few unique priorities in moves that helped him become character, like arrows and side b.

Problem with Olimar and Alph is that Pikmins are the main characters and most valuable to moveset so that's probably why Alph stayed clone unless it take up too much time to redo or chane codes for Pikmin and Alph to be unique character.

I think they had only a week or less just for Dark Pit but who know. I would like to see Sakurai's explaintation about it.
