Good Games Unbounded. You have a pretty good DK. I don't know why the lag got worse and worse every match though...

Also you have a nice mii brawler that fits pretty nicely with Rock Lee from Naruto lol. Hopefully next time the lag won't be so bad next time.

Back to the Duck Hunt can topic:
This is one of the ways that I like to use it. I apologize for the horrendous quality, but it was recorded one handed with my phone.

My biggest issue so far is the the 3DS's inputs seem to bias left and right over up. This has lead to more deaths than I care to admit as I've pressed diagonal up B and got the side-B special. I have to press directly up or I'll basically just do the wrong move and fall to my doom in an embarrassing fashion. I've never had this issue in any of the previous smash games :/

That's my problem with the game too. Maybe is the angle of the thumbs, but I've done many side attacks instead of the up attacks. And I still can't get comfortable with the distance your thumb must travel on the stick to count as a smash instead of a tilt, but I really like it more than melee and brawl "move just one tenth of milimeter and it counts as a smash".

I wish that in the wii u version it has some kind of calibration, sou you can chose how long the stick must move to count as a tilt or as a tap (smash).

Luckily, most tournaments will probably allow for custom moves just not custom equipment to spice things up. Tournylocater basically guaranteed they'll start running them in the near future.

Also, i don't know why but I can barely ever land Palutena's counter and when I do the knockback tends to be underwhelming.

There is a lot of start up lag I feel for some reason. I can land Mac's and Luncia's counter most of the time but idk Palutena's is just lousy.

I think your Lucario is giving me lots of trouble lol T_T I don't know how to deal with a lot of your attacks, in particular I keep trying to use usmash against your dair and failing, even though I should know better by now. All I know is that I can't let you charge Shadow Ball, that's about it :3

Anyway, with the exception of the beginning of game 2, good fights! :)

Good matches! You have a good ROB. I was constantly impressed with how you caught me with the laser, lol. Also, good situational awareness.

As for my Lucario... I think that I need to get better at playing with him at low percents. All of our matches pretty much required me to get up to ~66% before anything started to happen, haha. But I feel like that's something that will be more natural with a GC controller (easier to shorthop into aerials).

Rule #1: If we're playing in For Glory and you use Bowsercide as a tactic, there is no way in hell I'm playing more than one match with you. That shit is infuriating.

Guys.

Talk me out of seriously maining Lucario.

He doesn't even use a sword dammit. :lol

People complain about Little Mac in For Glory. Lucario is the most bullshit fucking character in that mode. Can't kill anyone because of way too large blast zones, he just gets high percent and then can cover half the stage with side B or his ball. Oh want to punish him off stage? Too bad he can land anywhere with his range. What a dumb character.

Soooooo

Fuuunnnnnn

Goddamit, on such a bad losing streak with Bowser today. I'm getting my ass handed to me at every turn. Idk what I'm doing wrong.
My main issues:
- After getting knocking into the air I'm getting comboed all the time. Idk how to recover w/o getting knocked back up. I usually edge grab but that only helps so much.
- Bowser has such slow recovery on EVERYTHING that things that I feel like I should be able to punish or react to or whatever, I can't. His roll is slow.
- His roll is so DAMN SLOW.
- No range on his attacks.

Ugh. Just frustrated. Lost so many matches today. So mad at video games right now.

For Glory reminds me why I've always stayed away from online in fighting games. Fuck it, I'm going back to fighting the CPU.

I feel like For Glory is suited for power characters or characters with great kill moves. I got an Ike up to 200% with WFT and wasn't able to land a killing blow, while he killed me at <100% on both lives.

Whenever I play against non power characters I do fine. But Little Mac/Ike/Bowser always seem to destroy me.

Anyone know a guy named "MrJiggers" or something to that effect? Played some really good matches with him and I'd like to play again. Really dumb that you can't friend request people after a match.
EDIT: Its "McJigger"

I'm trying to delete my save data, and following the instructions in the manual does nothing (hold a b x y before the title screen). I deleted the update and the extra data from the SD card, and it's giving me a "welcome to smash" message like the first time I played, and my unlocked characters are gone...but surely something must be saved to the cart! Does anyone know how to delete everything????

I was never a huge fan of tilts vs smashes as it seems a lot like the kind of execution stuff that sakurai was trying to get away from when he made the series in the first place, but yeah, I'm looking forward to a real analogue stick instead of the slider :3

Yeah, I think you're right as I noticed that I had to really predict much further ahead to get them than I usually do. Oddly, regardless of who I'm playing I can always time countering projectiles without any effort so it's odd to me that I find it more difficult to counter melee more with some characters than others... go figure :p

People shouldn't be living that long against WFT. A fully-charged Sun Salutation (especially when coupled with Deep Breathing) is an extremely reliable kill move for her.

Her up-smash is also invincible during the active frames, so you can use that for aerial chases as well.

(Sort of a tangent, but is WFT's "Salute the sun!" quote an intentional reference to Dark Souls?)

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Nothing seems too ridiculous without equipment to me so far.

Also it's good to not be too reliant on Palutena's counter. No where as good as, say, Shulk's or Marth/Lucina's but it helps with punishing rush down characters *hint hint*

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I tend to do better with Shulk than with Villager and Luigi, even though I'm better at playing Luigi and Villager than I am playing Shulk. Hell, Luigi's been my main since Smash 64, and I'm doing the worst with him in For Glory.

Really enjoying the Team modes at the moment.

FFAs boil down into kill stealing with a big character, can't get into 1v1s with random players either.

Team-attack-off shenanigans forever.

The green thunder needs an air speed boost.

So I know some people will find this to be heresy, but

I really like the way Dark Pit plays. I think it's mostly that I like Pit's changes from Brawl but feel like they needed just a little more oomph and Dark Pit does that.
