Finally earned all the characters. Classic Mode punishes you haaaaard, man.
That said, I've had Lucina since day one, and of all the characters I've played she seems to be the one sticking with me. This is a good thing considering I planned to main her to begin with, lol. ^_^;
I am really struggling with the 3ds controls at times. :-( like I'm getting used to it, but the hands, they are a crampin', and at crucial moments I'm still mixing my buttons up for some reason (so I SD hardcore).
Hoping to hop online and get matches this week, and praying the 3ds grip I ordered makes a surprise delivery appearance this week instead of the end of the month, lol.
I can't touch Samus till I get it, methinks. She was fun day one but it is hard trying to manage all her projectile options and short hop Zaria when my hands feel like they're about to fold in on themselves.
Sad about the loss of missile canceling too. T^T
Ah well, she'll be my solid alt, right there with ROB and Ness.
Side note: Little Mac destroys Trophy Run lmao.
Well my Win record just went from 10% trying to have some fun playing with Pikachu and starting every game by taunting to 40% by countering everything with Lucani.
Almost every single move in this game has a ridiculously easy read and every single competitive smasher does the same few combos and movements that each Character specifically has. Doesn't take a genius to quickly catch on and learn to respond. Lucina is an easy counter because she moves fast and because she can counter almost everything.
Just a shame how lame Competitive smash is. Why can't I have fun 1v1 with items where people play for fun instead of a lame super try hard "Roll around for 2 minutes in an attempt to have someone mess up their attempts so you can get one good combo and repeat".
I'm not even going to begin to touch your idea of "why competitive Smash sucks" (or Dice's for that matter), because it's 2am and I'd need at least an hour to make a bullet-pointed list to point out everything wrong with that mentality.
Especially when it includes such wonderful language as the classic: "super try hards" (aka people who practice and learn?), and uses that "always does the same thing" argument (you mean being consistent? This is a bad thing how?).
But anyways, my main point... Lucina is not that fast.
