Anyone else super sick of the lag in for glory mode? It wasn't bad the first two days but today it seems to be every single match I'm in where it just stops completely to buffer. Really annoying and makes me not want to play as it'd affecting how I play.

I have no idea. My matches since I got the game have ranged from buttery smooth to mountainous terrain. Yesterday was even worse for me. Today was slightly better but still jittery. I doubt I'd have done better even if the connection was smooth lol xD
Nah, of course it could have been different, we both made many mistakes because of that damn lag, you were beating me in that first match, I don't even know why I won.
#lagproblems
That's because we were playing together :p

"I said bananas, not gas!"

I absolutely love this one.

I'm down!

Ah nevermind. GGs Hiro! Not sure what was up with my play style, I was a little sluggish today.

it was my first time playing against Greninja so it was a learning experience, seriously, I have no idea how Shadow Sneak works and am too lazy to play as Greninja to find out.

I just spent an hour or so in For Glory and finally ran into some other Shulk users. Shulk mirror matches seem like a lot of fun, although I noticed both of the players only used Buster and Smash on the first battle.

So is there a consensus best mii fighter so far, or do they all have their strengths?
I think Gunner stands out the most as it has surprisingly decent normals for a projectile spam character. Swordfighter feels like I'm playing Brawl Captain Falcon versions of the characters it's inspired by.

This is great.

I have trouble taking a good pic with the placement of the Start Button on the OG 3DS.

Is there any way to make your in game name to not be your Nintendo network Id? I really want my name to be "Butt" like I had it in all the previous games :(

well tbf it seems that buster and smash are the primary arts you'd want to use

They are, but from what I can tell it's not the best idea to neglect half of Shulk's arts when they give him a decent amount of variability. Buster and Smash are definitely the two to use often, but Speed and Shield are really good for adapting to different situations or opponents (haven't found the best way to utilize Jump yet).

A day or two ago I pretty much stuck to Buster and Smash, but I've fared a lot better since increasing the rotation to 4 of his arts.

I have been having some really really good matches with people as far as Japan. Well I assume anyway with their names and all.

I notice though when I get a text message or my daughter loads a new video on the iPad the lag shows up right on cue but only for a moment.

Is there a chart to read this shit? I swear to God I can NEVER land an attack but everyone else can hit me just fine.

Who are you using?

I just watched an epic Wario vs Mario match on spectate. Excellent shield usage by both. Ended with a Wario fart on the edge of the stage, lol.

For those who got the CN demo and now have the game, are you keeping the demo?

I want the free blocks, but I feel like the demo was somehow special.

Sorry if this question shouldn't go here, but I'd love a couple of opinions.

I'm keeping it just because it's special (and because I have the space for it on my SD card), but also in case I want to play multiplayer with someone who only has the demo.

With as much hate as the Yellow Devil got pre-release, I think he's fine. Actually I think he's fun, provided you're not playing competitively of course. I just wish you could hit him a little easier, that eye is small...

Shulk.

I've tanked my winrate within the last like 30 minutes lol.

Well he seems super technical so I can't give you specific reasons but you have to figure out what are his super safe attacks and exploit them like crazy. Once you figure out spacing you'll probably be landing much more attacks due to the reach of the Monado. Too many times I get way to close to my faster opponents and my DK and Bowser can barely get out a hit. If I keep a good distance we either clank or I make it through. Over lapping your enemies body with your character on a constant basis will get you knock out easily.

All these circle pad pics has really changed my gameplay style. Way more methodical now lol. Might be for the better too.

I wince playing someone online that was kicking my ass spamming projectiles as toon link. Poor circle pad!

I just learned how to edgegimp a little mac efffectively.

No wonder high level people don't play him for some reason. You need to back throw him when you can and even at low percents, if you guess the direction he's taking right, you can kill very solidly.
