I got two Safe Respawner equipments, yay 8 seconds of invincibility lol. It doesn't stack 3x on top of the 3x though -- it adds together each buff.
 
Anyone up for a couple 1v1 games? Wanna try and improve my Robin, and CPU fights probably aren't the best way, haha.

Anyone want to play with 2v2 or 4 man ffa, items, all stages? 'for fun' rules basically. Tried going into the matchmaking but was getting a lot of lag :(

Haha yeah I've been I'm the same seat, game can be really frustrating when playing for glory. Annoying thing is I loose most of my matches but it's always really close. Usually they are on their last stock with 80-180% damage.

yeah, when playing Zero suit I can get my opponents to 170% or so but my KO moves don't knock them out but against strength characters it feels like they can knock me out at 50%
 
Another update on that little trick, I thought to myself that it may work on other people with storeable charges. So I tested it on DK, Samus, Lucario and WFT.

Donkey Kong-Yes, yes it does.

Samus-She cannot charge in the air so it does not work.

Lucario and WFT-This is iffy, it does "kinda" work but since the charge actually happens a short time after you press the button, you're locked into it and cannot move. So this is actually slower than if you get the tech right in the 1st place so I don't see this being useful on these guys.


So Robin and DK can use this pretty well. And Robin especially because he hits the ground "faster" because of the model placement and his crippling lag if he misses that tech. And even if he does it's still slower than this neat little thing.

Looking forward to testing it out during real matches.
 
Wanted to add to the confusion surrounding character unlocks by debunking the whole "200 trophies" requirement thing for ROB. I just passed the 150-mark a few hours ago, but I've had the full roster for a while now. I actually unlocked DHD last somehow. o_O

Does anyone get the feeling that roster unlocks are much more streamlined here because it's the 3DS version, a portable game that, one could possibly reason, would be less appealing if you couldn't get through those requirements during commutes or lunch breaks? Correct me with conflicting info if it's out there, but maybe one of the differences of the Wii U version will be the unlocking methods.

Can someone explain Home Run to me? The rules of how to get it far seem to be completely random. I've seen videos of guys getting it 3000+metres with less than 100% damage while I can get it up to 140% and only manage 800-900m. It doesn't make any bloody sense. What are the requirements to hit it far? Also, the circle pad sucks balls for this mode.

I don't know if anyone's answered this for you yet, but a couple tips: where you and the sandbag are on the platform when you swing makes a difference in how far he'll fly. The closer you are to the right edge, the further he'll fly. Not sure exactly how much difference it makes, but it always seemed to tack on a couple hundred when I was testing.

Also, aim to hit with the tip of the bat. Always goes much farther than if you get too close-quarters with it.
 
Do you not have trouble with blue, green, and red?
Not at all. Red, blue, and green are each a hue of light. In a red/green deficiency like mine either the red or green cones are working less than standard, but blues are unaffected. So red/green/blue is great. As long as the the saturation or brightness of the red and green are significantly different. Green/yellow is hard to distinguish for me, unless the green is blue-tinted. But that's just my eyes. There are so many variants of colorblindness.

So I went online in For Glory. And... I got my head handed to me. 2-9 so far. Clearly I need to get better. Also I need to stop rematching the same Little Mac that two stocked me repeatedly. But I liked his wireframe hoodie outfit too much.

Going with Palutena, Zelda, and Lucina, but I think I need something more. Or a better air game at least. Jigglypuff might be interesting to look into. Anyone else rule the skies as good as or better than Jigglypuff? Any of the Pits, maybe? Charizard?

Actually, any tips for Palutena or Zelda vs. rushdown characters? It's hard to do anything when you're being smacked across the screen repeatedly. I mean Lucina just needs to rush better than the opponent. Which is hard on a Little Mac.

It's funny we play a lot of the same characters. Charizard and Dark Pit are my mains.

There are different ways to unlock characters. I unlocked Rob by reaching 200 trophies. I believe another way is to play 70 matches.

Wario is your best bet. He's possibly better than Puff, even.

Bowser Jr and Palutena seem really good in the air as well but idk if I'd call them aerial gods like Jigglypuff and Wario yet.
