If you unlock multiple characters at once then they "queue up" since you can only fight one at a time. In these situations, clearing the queue by doing Solo Smash matches is recommended.

Thanks, that's actually pretty close to what I've found. However, a few of those are incorrect as far as my experience has gone-- I've beaten classic with Mario and Link 2 or 3 times now at 5.0 or higher, and their corresponding unlocks still haven't occurred. I just did a quick smash battle to see if a challenger approached, but no luck.

I guess the other odd unlocks were just qeued up funny or something. It's like I did all of it as specified, but the game randomized the unlock order. Oh well!
 
I got a notification saying that I only collected 100 unique custom special moves so far. Damn, this is tedious as hell. I wouldn't mind unlocking them if there weren't any duplicates (I'd prefer if they were all unlocked from the start but eh).
 
Game froze on me. Was in All Star mode onthe last battle with Robin and paused for a second then unpaused and it froze halfway between unpausing.

So I hold power turn turn it iff then back on, then all of a sudden the audio when you click on the home menu icons is all staticy sounding. Now that scared me to death. Thankfully another power down and back on worked. I am so happy to finally have Smash on a portable but its scary with how much it pushes the system in this way.

Thankfully all my save data is still here, but now theres different menu music playing. O_O

Nothing better not mess up my game damn it. Already played 20 hours on single player.
 
34 total matches, 20 wins in For Glory. I can't play with fast characters online on the 3DS. I If I had a real analog, it would be feasible. But spend more time fighting the controller inputs than i do fighting opponents.

I've had this issue when fighting Little Macs and it's a big reason why I probably won't play Olimar that much until the Wii U version
 
I just had a bunch of amazing Sheik vs Little Mac matches. Connection was really good, so two super fast characters going at it was just a treat. On the Sheik side of it I felt like I had just enough zoning between darts and the grenade to keep him Mac under control, but when he gets in it really hurts.
 
If there's even a little lag, Dedede is God tier. So many people wandering into your fat hammer that wouldn't have otherwise, great recovery, being able to nope to another side of the stage with a bit of jumping and Up+B. Dedede is the Lag Lord.
 
Anyone up for some metaphorical Fox only, no items, final destination? (So basically just 1v1. Actually ok with other stages and characters, if that's not clear.)

My connection isn't the greatest though, so don't expect it to be perfectly smooth. Should help if you're on the East coast of the US. Anyway, PM if you wanna play.
 
They really couldn't do one more stage just to even out the stage select screen? That black void in the bottom right is really bothering me.
 
My unlock pattern has not corresponded to the listed unlock pattern at all, except for Wario. I seriously think I am getting characters randomly.

Oh look at that, a DC. That was surely a sign to stop playing and get back to studying. Feel free to put the blame for that annoying stuttering on my bipolar connection.

There is nothing more satisfying than playing stock matches with Bowser and ending them when you're down to one stock each by belly flopping both of you off the stage with his side special. Nothing.

Siara is so good! Leave it to them to make Megaman look like a threat lol
 
I just realized I've been shielding wrong all this time. I run, let go of the stick then shield. It causes massive lag and it's the reason why everything hits me! For anyone else when you dash to shield don't let go of the stick!
 
Can someone explain Home Run to me? The rules of how to get it far seem to be completely random. I've seen videos of guys getting it 3000+metres with less than 100% damage while I can get it up to 140% and only manage 800-900m. It doesn't make any bloody sense. What are the requirements to hit it far? Also, the circle pad sucks balls for this mode.

What has your method been? It took me all day to unlock two characters. -_-
 
Final panel I need for the first challenge page is 'Unlock 3 unique outfits'. Just have yet to see anything appear no matter how many smash runs, trophy smash, and classic mode plays I do. Really pissing me off as I want the next tier of challenges to show up, but this stupid RNG hurdle is killing my interest.

Yeah, that one tripped me up to. Just gotta keep going through Classic, Smash Run, and Trophy Rush til you get it. It sucks.
