Tried playing this with my roommate last night, and local wireless is complete shit. We would have single digits frame rate, a loading icon interrupting gameplay in the middle of a match, and even had a stock match time out due to the poor connection.

My experience with the online has been better than that, so we just decided that from now on we're playing online which seems ridiculous when you think about it.

I think wireless interferes with local play. I had zero issue at Gamestop. It is an odd thing that they would not account for things like that.

MK's consistent/best KO move is Up B so what you'll want to do is combo into it with Uair juggles. It's pretty reliable. Other than that, yeah, they nerfed his KO potential pretty hard. You need to be chasing people off stage with MK's Dair/Nair anyway.
 
Got the Ice Climber trophy last night... My heart... Also beat Classic at 7.5 intensity now my GPS is almost 1 million... What's going on in the Smash scene? I'm not as good as I use to be...

I have the original 3DS not an XL so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not with games like Monster Hunter. Didn't put ALBW down because I already have it.

Triple Deluxe is probably the best of the bunch, but it's not the kind of game I'd have in my SD forever. For that reason alone I'd pick Mario Golf or MH3, which are very convenient to have in a digital copy. They aren't games for everyone, but they each have a demo in the eShop to get you a slight idea of how they play.
 
Unlocked all characters, and stages sans Flat Zone 2. Bitter sweet and disappointed Mewtwo is not in. Hoping like hell for DLC. Played Classic a bit, and beat Master Core.

Right hand is FUCKING KILLING me (3DS XL). DAMMIT.

Considering you never actually meet other players while in the Smash Run map, I'm sure it would run better.
 
So according to math, I need 1000 ft. with each character in Home Run Contest for the challenge. Ugh...
Edit: Yeah, I cannot play the 3DS version for long. At least it beats not having Smash for 8 weeks...

Maybe it has something to do with each player being in their own map for Smash Run until the endgame match?

I should give it a shot either way, but regular multiplayer at my apartment is an exercise in frustration.
 
Anyone recommends a particular grip? I had to stop playing. My right hand in between my pointer and thumb is screaming at me in pain.

This is pretty damn easy to do. I got this completed while only half assing it with characters and didn't even need to use the bottom row and one of the full rows.

Well, Ive also played local wireless for a few hours and only one very minor lag issue that lasted like half a second.

I think it has a lot to do with the environment, I don't think there's much interference in my house, but an apartment might have a lot of signals from all around
 
So I got into a for glory 2v2 match last night that seemed numerically impossible. The fight started and three of us were Rosalinas, which I posted earlier in the thread.

During the next match, I switched to Kirby, and the other person on my team switched to Kirby, too. Then on the following match, the enemy team had two Captain Falcons. During the last match, before the room imploded, I switched to Samus and someone on the other team was Samus. To my knowledge, you can't see what other people are picking, right? What are the chances of all of this happening in a row?

Yeah, I'm at a college campus which is probably a huge factor.
 
How do you get the Airman and Sparkman arrangements to play on the Wily's Castle Stage?

The melee method they have in this version (hold R) only works for 2 songs.

I played local all day on friday with 4 people, and we were experiencing a lot of lag while all sitting around on couches and stuff, but then when we all sat at a table facing one another we had zero lag and issues. It seems pretty finicky. I'd imagine a lot of wireless connections in your area would also mess with it.

Finally a bit of time to post!

So, I got the game friday night, and played a bit this weekend...so far I'm loving it! I unlocked most of the characters (I think I'm missing only duck hunt) through versus matches...seriously, I only played vs matches and for glory so far (haven't touched any other modes).

I'm very satisfied with for glory. At first, I though it was gonna be really shitty, because the first two or three matches were reaaaaally laged. But then, I had some very good matches, with only some predictable input lag (even against seemingly japanese players), and even some flawless matches, to the point I thought I was battling a CPU instead of a player.

Keep in mind that my internet is quite bad!

Just had some awesome matches against some Aaron guy...7 matches, 4x3 to me, no lag whatsoever.
 
Since JP release my mains have been Lucina/Marth and a tentative captain falcon. I've now found a new love. Game and Watch my man, why are you so awesome to play as?
