I'm kinda proud of myself that I made it to 178% in a match against Ike lol

Anyways, thanks for the smoothest matches I have experienced so far Hiro. They were tons of fun. Would love to stay and play more but I gotta go to sleep.

Yeah, sleep is good. Definitely had fun playing against you.

Wii Fit Trainer-Wow, this is a weird character. I feel like every time I attack in one direction she hits in the opposite direction. I had no idea how to use her and couldn't do much with her, but I get the feeling some people will be able to pull off some crazy shit with her.

Her attacks like f-Tilt, f-Air, first attack on Jab, and d-Smash have hitboxes on two spots. Some of them do different things on hit. Like hitting with her hand on f-Air is kinda normal, but if you hit with the foot that's sticking out it will spike. Her leg on f-Tilt will launch the opponent upward while her arm will send them horizontally.

Some of her custom moves can really change her gameplan up a lot as well.

The home button trick works like a charm. Except for the part where I've been playing for hours with no costumes showing up. I'm guessing challenges unlock retroactively? If so, I'll probably clear the second wall as soon as it opens up, lol. I'm really close to using a hammer but it'd be such a waste. *sigh*

Wow, and I thought her neutral combo acting like a pitfall was crazy.

What home button trick?

Beat classic mode with Bowser and unlocked Wario, wtf? Might have to do with the fact that I accidentally unlocked/collected(?) all assist trophies?

Okay...um....so, I've been trying to do the thing where you run, and then turn around and quickly grab someone. I think it's called a pivot grab. But, whenever I turn around and press the button I assigned to grab (Y button), my character does a tilt attack instead.....wh-WHAT!!? Is that normal!? I have to wait a second before my Y button turn back into a grab. What the hell!!?

You press home at the reward selection screen and if the next one is what you want, press home again and hold A.

wouldnt that just take longer? my 3ds freezes up for 6secs when I press home in smash, its quicker to just play on difficulty under 4 and beat a stage in 15secs

what about the purple one ;)

This Smash will be more about match ups than anything else (Duck Hunt can fucking wreck Meta Knight). Of course the characters with most favorable match ups will be deemed the most powerful, and it depends on the skill of the players. But the game feels really well balanced so far. Might be due the new ledge mechanics and buffed up recoveries. Most of characters play so differently that it feels rewarding to get better with more than one. We'll see how the metagame unfolds with time.

As much as I'm loving the game, there's not enough offensive options imo. Melee was too aggressive and favored offense, Brawl was too slow and safe, and HEAVILY favored defense. This iteration feels more balanced than both mechanically speaking but still favors defense more. Sakurai and company came so close to finding that in between that is Melee and Brawl. You can be aggressive and pressure players into making mistakes, but the extremely safe dodge roll and spammable air dodge roll make pursuit kind of kind of a pain in the ass.
