I can't help but feel there's a huge lack of single-player content. I've got probably six hours of playtime and I don't know what to do at the moment, save grind Smash battles to unlock R.O.B. I miss target smash...not this Angry Birds knockoff. = (

I *am* pretty overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of the roster, though. I'm not much into the custom stuff (breaking competitive balance is not fun to me, which also applies to Smash Run), but there's tons of characters to mess around with anyway.

Bowser jr counters little mac so fking hard.

YES.

Down+B spam and mac cant rly do anything if you time the other specials right
Looking forward to fighting that bowser Jr then. Learning how to overcome his shortcomings and disadvantages will only help in the long run. That's why even when I lose I only see it as an opportunity to learn and just perfect him more in any situation :p

Online is a disappointment. While it is not a slideshow, there was still input delay. After Mario Kart 8, I expected better. Hopefully Wii U version is a bit better.

I think as long as you have an adapter for the Wii U it will be a bit better. I wouldn't expect it to be a huge improvement though.

Why does Marth have Japanese voices in the NA game (I'm on the sound menu). All the other characters have it in English.

WHY DOES LUCARIO HAVE AN ENGLISH VOICE?! DOES HE TALK?!

I finally got to play briefly last night after date night with my wife was over, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm very impressed by the sheer amount of content available in this game. I only got to play a little because it was super late, but its great. I actually just created a character using my Mii, and he's awesome. Lol. I usually play as Link or Samus. I haven't touched the new characters yet, but I imagine I'll be playing this for a long time.

I did tweak my button layout, though, because I've never been a fan of the default layout.

Been that way since Melee, they're saving money on getting an English VA to do it + tons of people have nostalgia for it and are used to Marth's JP VA by now.

I wish Marth had English because Shadow Dragon, but I guess it's a tradition at this point.

Because FE1 is Japan only.

When activating Lucario's final smash he yells "TRANSFORM"

Marth with an English voice would sound off to me. I'm so used to it, he has this outsider charm to him.

I always think he's like the cartoon trope where a character doesn't speak English and just speaks gibberish, but everyone understands him except the audience. Like Schnitzel in Chowder.

BUT WHY DOES LUCARIO HAVE AN ENGLISH VOICE
"The aura is with me"

Since when do Pokemon talk... save for Team Rocket's MewTwo??

Lucario talked in the movie, and Sakurai seems to be fine with anime-influences in Smash. (See: Pokemon Trainer's trophy, Charizard's Seismic Toss, etc.)

I'm still not certain it CAN be improved for this particular game, unless the answer is to improve matchmaking where they filter out players with poor connections (which will make them mad) and add much more limited regional matchmaking (which could lead to long queue times).

It works well for me with nearby people, and works worse if I play against people in Japan / Australia, but those people presumably have quite a high ping to me.

There is no official adapter for the Wii U that I'm aware of. I wish Nintendo would sell one -- it seems like a great idea for Smash 4.

Was that a Diddy Kong main winning the CLASH tournament today? That's cool.

But seriously regarding a wired Ethernet Wii U adapter, if anyone knows of an official Nintendo one I would love to hear about it. I know there are third-party ones that probably work fine.

One thing that annoys me is picking alt colors on the 3DS is pretty hard. On some characters it's pretty hard to really figure out what color you have picked (like Ike, Ganondorf and Samus)

I know it's an issue with the small screen, but they should have tried to figure something out or pose the characters better so the alt colors show up better in a tiny view.

In the last match I got pushed off the stage when it was changing so I landed on no nearby platform. Of course lol.

Thanks Viridi.

Viridi givith and Viridi taketh away.

Is it just me or does Palutena sound different than in Kid Icarus Uprising? Especially when she actually says things. Is it the same VA?

Different voice actor sadly.

It looks like everyone pretty much has different mains for this game. Nice to see.

In other news, I haven't been this addicted to a game in years.

Edit: is there a community thread? I feel like this thread is being bombarded with FC requests. I don't mind of course (Add me! FC 0018-2106-2528, Pm me yours), but damn.
