Add me if you're in the UK/Western Europe! I'm taking a short break now, but pm me if you do add me and we can play :D

I'm in a quandary. I have work to do so I can't play Smash right now, but I can't get any work done because I keep thinking about Smash. :(

I so wish this game had Mario Karts community code system for online. Would be so nice to just jump into a "GAF 1v1" or "GAF FFA" hopper instead of adding a billon friend codes. Maybe Wii U? Please?
Expecting online options in Smash?

It's not quite that good - the formula doesn't work as well in a fighting game, and there are some obnoxious enemies that will ping-pong you all over the place - but I'm still having a lot of fun with it. It's definitely a solid single-player mode.
Ah that's too bad. Was hoping it was a good replacement to Melee's really well done Adventure Mode but with Air Ride style power ups.

Yeah, the JP Pokemon Trainer Trophy DOES mention Ash and the other characters (all who are notably prominent in the show, everyone but Cynthia having traveled with Ash), but doesn't have the lyrics of the JP theme, it just says Pokemon Trainer loves Pokemon and is good to his friends or something.

Anyway, cons so far for me.

Negatives

- "Inbalance" between characters. Only a handful of veterans get new voices, usually either because of a VA Change, and Kirby and Pikachu whose voice work seems new. Newcomers seem to have the most care put into them.

- I LIKE collecting the Smash Run Equipment and Powers, but as far as I know, there's no Collection List to see if I have 100%. Really wish this was here since I like collecting shit in Smash, and they're actually fun to mess with in Smash Run.

- Smash Run is fun for me, but it really needs a match for a few options. One, being able to change the music mid-match...even if you choose multiple songs, it seems only one plays. Also being able to adjust time, maybe choose the final match, etc. I actually really enjoy the mode, even playing against bots.

- Stages are so-so. Not even the amount of them, a lot just feel sort of forgettable. I LOVE Pac-Maze though, the FFA matches are always neat on those.

- Mii Fighters lose their luster on the 3DS since you can't see who they are, especially during Multi-Man, as the screen's so small.

Otherwise it's been pretty fun. A lot of stuff to collect, so it'll fill me up till November. I haven't even touched online yet, lol, except for two matches...and they were so-so. A little input lag, but otherwise smooth.

Wow I just realized that Slippy was my first trophy. What an interesting coincidence. I even had Star Fox 64 3D in the game slot when I started playing Smash.

Does anybody know how to unlock
Flat Zone 2
? (also known as
Mr Game & Watch's stage
)

I've unlocked all characters and stages but somehow I still didn't get this one

Not even close.

I agree. It quickly gets boring and almost tedious, but it's the only way to get some bonus items :(

Well, my router is stock ISP so that's probably not good, but I'm right next to. I'll keep playing and see if different opponents make a difference. At best is it almost as smooth as offline play?
Do a speedtest at one of those websites. Divide your ping by 16.6 and that's the number of frames of lag you will have at minimum, assuming your opponent has a ping of 0. Realistically, there will always be some amount of online lag in fighting games.

Hey, so I still have two Golden Hammers left for the first panel of challenges and I can't use the them on the second panel, am I fucked for saving them?

You have to clear the entirety of Challenge Board 1.

You gotta mess around with the Powers and Equipment to have the most fun, imo. I wonder if people aren't bothering with Custom and jumping right in.

Making your characters have Speed Equipment makes it the most enjoyable, since you can explore so much.

Allright, GAF, please add me for some Smash fun! ( And PM me if you do - I have to go out and meet a friend and there'll be 500 new replies once I return, so it is easier to wade through your friend-codes that way ).

My friend-code is: 3196-5083-3027

Wait Golden Hammers don't transfer between panels? So if I have 3 on the first panel, I won't get them on the second? So am I safe to use it on the stupid StreetPass challenge?

I am happy to beat Master Core on 7.0. His human Form only trigger at 7.5 apparently.

Also yes, hammers do not transfer between panels. I am so mad I have two left that are useless.

Wear the extra hammers with pride
pride is for chumps
then again it's board 1 so nobody should need them yet
Well, it looks like I have no way of using them since I completed board one without their help. They're on my challenge board forever unless I reset my save data (lol).

It appears not from what I can tell, I've tried using them on all the panels I have completed and it won't let me move over to board two to use them either. What a design oversight.

Also, the StreetSmash challenge can be completed by going into practice mode on StreetSmash, you don't actually need to tag anyone.

Holy shit did they ruin the glorious Magicant stage with that Flying Man bullshit.

It would have been such a good stage for neutral gameplay elsewise.

Has anyone got over 3000 in home-run contest yet? I assume there is some exploitable move that makes it easy.

Yeah, Flying Man is annoying as hell unless he's working for you.
