No item frequency toggle is more disappointing for me than any sort of roster or stage decision. It completely wrecks with my preferred play style (items low). Currently forced to have them all off, except smash balls. I really wanna have fun with the new items but the spawn rate seems like a permanent v. High

I'm absolutely loving the game, but this needs to be patched.

Haha let's do it. I'm starting to find out, I'm kinda good with little Mac and I really enjoy him. Pete probably thought I had been playing him from the get go but I honestly just started tonight like an hour ago xD that's why I love experimenting, let's do a couple more then!

Hah hah, I definitely thought that. That makes it even more impressive.

I don't think I've played a game this much in a long time. I've got a minimum of 3 hours fighting For Glory matches and that is just the actual matches, not even the wait times in between. The matches are always intense, too. Smash has some really crafty players.

Seriously. I played a solid five hours straight last night.

I can't believe they downgraded the trophy viewer, why do I need to hold the circle pad when I want to look at a trophy from a different angle, like from above.

Dropping Little Mac's knockout punch is incredibly satisfying, unless you're doing so on Duck Hunt, in which case you just feel like a terrible person to do something so cruel to such a nice dog and his duck friend.

I haven't played a smash game in any consistent capacity in years, and going through the roster I find myself liking the feel of quite a few characters. Specifically mario, luigi, diddy, villager, and pac man. Little mac is cool, but I feel like if you mess up with him you're screwed. I just feel like those are the fighters I can control well. I play bowser and I just feel sluggish and like I'm always a step behind.

lmao it feels great on Duck Hunt too ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)

Okay, so I've played For Glory online for a good while now. I started out pretty terrible, as expected. The person I used the most was Mega Man. I ran into quite a few Little Macs, as well as a Kirby who did nothing but up B (which was really, really annoying). I lost a whole bunch because it'd been a while since I played Smash against actual people. But I eventually got into a groove, and my first win was against a Little Mac in which I discovered all I have to do is get Mac out over the side of the map, and one Hard Knuckle puts him in the ground. (I also later did this and went 2-0 against a Shulk, despite the fact that he got me up to 170% and I barely got him above 50% before killing him both lives.)

I spent the majority of the time playing against an awesome dude who was good, and challenging, but not cheap. And after several initial rounds of Mega Man vs. Little Mac, we both started switching to new characters each match. And he was a good sport, lots of taunting and random fun stuff, like for example we had a Pit vs. Luigi match, and right at the beginning he accidentally did his side-B right off the edge of the map, so I followed suit and side-B'd off to make it even 1v1 stock, and he ran over to the edge with Pit and did a little mock salute. It was fun.

I only had lag trouble with one match against a Lucina, and it was pretty damn terrible, game was standing still for a lot of it. Other than that, all my matches were lag-free for the most part.

This is getting stupid. The room just . . doesn't exist. Really feel like we're missing something simple.

What's the procedure for online friend matches? Just add the friend, someone creates a room, others join right?

So what are the odds of Nintendo fixing the lag issues? They never bothered to fix Brawl's online, and after last Christmas' eShop outage fiasco I have a feeling they're just gonna wait it out and hope the lag resolves itself.

Anyway, I played this game too much and now my fingers hurt. I hope they're not sore tomorrow.

They couldn't fix brawl in any easy way. Outside of the full system updates the Wii didn't do patches.

The whole point is now they can and do. I'm not saying it'll get fixed, but the option wasn't even really there for Nintendo with brawl other than server side.

Seeing as it's Bamco's show this go around, patches for balance and lag are extremely likely. They did several for the Tekken and Soul Calibur games.

Probably been brought up, but does anyone else find side-stepping/rolling unresponsive at times? Sometimes the shield will just stay up and I'll have to jiggle the stick before it will actually register the roll/side-step. Shit is annoying.

Unless of course the stick is just broken, which would suck.

The game is still being developed. They have the Wii U version and whatnot. I would say the odds are very high.

Well hopefully it is better on the Wii U.

I wish I were good at Palu. :(

Tried using her a bit after playing Robin the whole day and I can't wrap my head around her playstyle at all. Kept getting handily wrecked since I basically couldn't figure out what to do with her at all.

Palutena masters please teach me.

I'm down, though I'm really wanting to try my new Greninja customs. Let's smash and if someone else wants to do a custom match, let me know and I'll join.

I put your code in, mine's 0146-9007-8698

Would love to, but I need to catch the train in about 20 minutes, so I'll add you and hope to play later!

But isn't the problem server-side anyway? I mean, I have gotten into a few lag-free matches so it doesn't seem like the problem is in the game's code.
